Economic Relativism, Pete Peterson and the Savings Gambit

Pete Peterson of the Blackstone Group, one of the wealthiest private equities in the cosmos, an imperialist machine par excellence had news to peddle and the smug nerve to, as the saying goes "Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead" declare it withe the bombast and self-importance pf the newly minted.

Drum roll...! The equity shark declared that the Sub Prime Rate morass and it's purported consequence on the economy is primarily a side effect of America's liberal attitude towards thrift and savings.

You know it's funny savings and it's critique is always the last wheezing gasp of profiteers. America as the critique usually goes should squirrel away liquidity so speculators can in turn appropriate it. Yes that tired ass tune of give me your savings, I know what to do with it, and become wealthy off it's manipulation and when I blunder a'la Bear Stearn's my conspiring and at times duped Uncle Sam will be there to aid me, be my parachute while the squirreling masses will in delirium yodel about Jack and his wit.

The agenda of Pete Peterson and the interest he represents is simple, feint, thrust and parry any intent to call into account the political-economical environment that creates billionaires in an hour (on June 21, 2007; Blackstone Group went public and Peterson became a billionaire in an hour). The formulations that the serving of working class in America who serve and support economic relativism should put it's needs and wants on hold and save so the Pete Peterson's can access the savings and indulge in subjecting the aggregate economy to the up and down swings of their manipulations only benefits a specific group. What is always conveniently ignored in the savings argument is savings as a particular type of specific economic activity doesn't benefit society at large. If the question is liquidity and it's availability then there are more dynamic means of doing so, for example stock investments and the dynamism of such activity impacts the aggregate society in a more realized way, than the manipulation of savings in the hands of a few.

What I find crass, is this colonial paradigm of political-economy which exploits the complexity of the savings question, flips it into a gambit ploy with the simplistic sounding of thrift as policy. So in a period where value derivatives bankrupt century old banks, the savings argument is worn out and backwards.

The Value Imperative, The Root of it all

Value is that which is given anything that is significant in one's life, from inclination to disposition, to the pursuit of vital necessities and how it is wanted.

Value is at the basis of all human endeavor, whether idealist or materialist, whether it's the socialization of property or it's privatization--- Value is the imperative.

So if value in all it's objectives and ethereal instances has not been thoroughly taken apart as it should be, those who then benefit from the partiality and one-dimensional superficiality of it's thesis have no incentive to dynamically synthesize it.

Just as the human condition cannot step outside of relative history there can never be a devaluation of the value imperative. Yes the false premise construct in it's idealistic vacuum can stand. But when confronted with the fundamental value matrix of necessity as the very condition of humanness, no amount of wit irrelevant of source can negate it.

So as we once again experience the theater of minds in centrist-right America whose only contribution to productivity is the cunning exploitation of relative value. To what then do we owe our tolerance to the assertion there exist a value difference between the bailed out bank, Bear Stearn's and the moral consequence of foreclosed Homes in Cleveland being destroyed by creditors.

Logan and the State of Illinois, it's Law, Order and Ethics

The 3/9/08; CBS 60 Minutes Show brought to the fore another example of Law, Order and it's Ethics gone horribly awry. The report was about a couple of Attorneys, whose names as a consequence of their deeds is irrelevant, but for the purpose of posterity will be forever tied to the man Logan who due to their actions, their inactions languished behind bars, imprisoned by the Great State of Illinois for 26 years and counting, because at the time of the airing the State of Illinois still acts with the presumption that it's legal process maintains that facade of legitimacy in regards to the man Logan.

Logan was convicted for an act which was committed by the client of the lawyers in question. Their client confessed to them and he expressed how thrilled he was with the fact, an innocent man was being convicted and punished for something he did.

The lawyers in question kept their mouths shut 26 years! Because of what they described as an ethical conundrum. Wonder how much of a conundrum it would had been were their family in it's vortex.

My concern with this recurring theme in the Justice System isn't the simple matter of here we go again another mockery of Justice. But the Justice System is too vindictive, too idealistic, too sanctimonious in it's pronouncements, Elliott Spitzer like.

The degradation and dehumanization of all those involved and I mean All! Is too complete for so many lives to suffer it's errors and presumptions.

Iraq and The Global War on Terrorism

Frequent readers of Apropos know the Iraq and Global War on Terrorism is military adventure and political opportunism.

Every step of the way, efforts made by those prosecuting both adventures has been more in line with perceptions rather than material facts. The Ideological support for both adventures has come from quarters whose base has been all those discredited thoughts in history.

These past few days has seen an upswing in violent speech and it's activity in Iraq. The much touted "surge" seems to have only been a weave of promises, pay-offs and compromises and as is usually the case it's unraveling.

There is only one theme central to the Global War on Terrorism, weapons of mass destruction. Weapons of mass destruction is the only element that transforms the discussion. Violent speech in all it's forms against state power isn't
new---but this is relatively the first time a radical group is claimed to have as it's strategy, exploiting weapons of mass destruction. If Al Qaeda had been branded as another rocket grenade using group, no one with a straight face would propose or justify deploying entire armies against it.

But this is where military reality transforms into political opportunity. The technical know how for weapons of mass destruction is limited exclusively by certain specifics which then makes it simple and easy for control. The proposition is simple: were it all about the weapons of mass destruction question, this imperial Romanesque theater of orthodox or regular war will not be happening. But we have been subjected to entire armies deployed, order of battles quixotically ill suited to track down triggers for nuclear devices or chemical and biological agent manipulations---all to what end? Just to see the self-described sole super power humbled and frustrated by minds, if we are to buy the propaganda, whose political-economy is still in the stone age?

The only critique of the adventures, the Bush Administration and Congressional Republicans have presented is the National Security one and that as I have shown is the only viable when squared with weapons of mass destruction. Yet the means, if not the employ of Political Opportunity of satisfying the concerns is naively unsound.

War and it's mongering has never been adequate direction for any advance in Political-Economy. Yes it catalyses economies but there has to be a set of suitable facts. The most recent failure, to this dialectical fact and its perversion has been the Soviet Union and there is space on the shelf for it's old Cold War antagonist, The U.S.

"Mood in the Hood," Urban Blacks used as bogeyman by Oil executive John Hofmeister

The energy giant Shell is using Urban Blacks, or should I rather say misusing. Specifically Shell is banking on the rabid paranoia and stereotypical fear people have of Urban Blacks and has incorporated it as business policy, a means to an end that if realized will fill the coffers of the giant corporation and it's share holders.

Shell's President John Hofmeister revealed in an interview on the Charlie Rose show for 3/25/08; that Black people and civil disturbance which he characterized as "Mood in the Hood" was a arguing point in Shell, the behemoth energy giant business policy. He went on to say he had talks with the Mayor of Los Angeles concerning gauging the "Mood in the Hood". The implications of this bizarre proposition that Urban Blacks would riot over gas does starkly emphasize the state of the Cold War of American Racism.

Hofmeister argued that the nations energy crisis can be alleviated by allowing Shell to exploit the oil reserves in restricted areas of Alaska. In default, the specter of "Mood in the Hood" was raised. Urban Blacks on a rampage over oil and to complete the caricature, Hofmeister invoked the Rodney King aftermath.

All this "Mood in the Hood" talk, coming from an oil executive does raise the question is provocateurism in the works here? Where is the precedent in support of the implication that Urban Blacks unlike any other group will riot over gas? And Charlie Rose with the credibility of his Journalism on the line sat there and allowed the words to go unchallenged.

As an aside Hofmeister disclosed that Hillary Clinton is partial and sympathetic to the oil industry's concerns.

Hillary Clinton and The Alchemy of Inevitability

Hillary Clinton cried and the people of New Hampshire who I guess never heard of crocodile tears made it out to be an event, political action and voted, saying with their votes they want to see her sniffling before cameras every time her inevitability was called into question. Then she relegated Martin Luther King Jr. to a footnote in American History, declaring that were it not for the Great White Father, Lyndon Johnson, civil rights wouldn't even exist for her to even snide at. As if the revolts, blood, sweat, and tears of those Black and White protagonist who manned the barricades were abstract, surreal, fleeting, impressions across the twilight sky of the cold war of Racism. Then weirdly she professed what an honor it was to be on stage with her political rival Barack Obama--- only Sybil like, frothing at the mouth, banshee screaming acted out her shame on you Barack Obama role as if she was auditioning for "one flew over what nest." So the people of Ohio, Rhode Island, and Texas found affinity with it. Schizophrenia must be uniquely appetizing to them. Then she got caught lying. Hillary had her Pinocchio moment. She lied that while landing at an airport at Bosnia she came under sniper fire. As if coming under sniper fire completes her bonafides and in one swoop she mocked and trivialized every last non-combatant tragic death due to Bosnian sniper fire. Her husband once said he smoked but didn't inhale and like turkey's Americans gobbled it up. Now the wife claims she has been sniped at but it was only John Smith like, made up. By Apropos

Charles Krauthammer is irrelevant, always has been

Charles Krauthammer is at it again. In another irrelevant Op-Ed he questions why Barack Obama remains a member of the Trinity Church.

Krauthammer and Co. with their rants about the Wright rants are a gaggle of geese pecking . If Jeremiah Wright and his "God Damn America" from pulpit is beyond the pale and Obama should excommunicate himself to satisfy the logic of brains clearly terrified by what injustice has wrought. Then why hasn't Charles Krauthammer renounced his citizenship and emigrated, on the grounds that the U.S. Government is so saturated with specific injustice and crimes against humanity that the only practical indictment is a historical one?

Furthermore has Krauthammer called for Catholics to renounce Catholicism considering the Catholic Church has been a haven for pederast?

Has history denounced and taken the position that Thomas Jefferson was the worst form of intellect, that of inconsistency? Because for all practical purposed his pronouncements on Providence and mans Liberty was at the expense of all those Black Men, Women and Children he held in slavery.

Should members of Congress resign because Racist and the most backwards of reactionaries have walked it's halls and advocated their cause in it's space?

Should the U.S. Supreme Court Justices disrobe because in it's history the very interesting jurisprudence that Black people were sub-human?

The economies of Ohio and Texas are models?

Jeff Cornwall of The Entrepreneurial Mind at forum.belmont.edu/cornwall birdied an excerpt from the Wall Street Journal, supposedly comparing the economies of Ohio and Texas. In the aside I find this remark telling:

"It is a stark comparison of a state that is stuck in big government policies of the 1900's (Ohio) and one that has changed to reflect the Global Entrepreneurial Economic Realities of today (Texas)."

What does "Big Government" contrasting "entrepreneurial Economic Realities of today" mean?

I find once again economist and economics viewed through the conservative skew as not just political rejoinders but for all practical purposes, distortions. Its as if there is money in circulation stamped Entrepreneurial Reality (Conservative) and Big Government (Liberal). The truth of the matter is within the fact of each economical potential, there is the dynamism of value.

The critique "Big Government" has always been disingenuous and intellectual fraud. Its been consistently exposed as the sham it is and it's critics, two faced opportunist who ham fist pork barrels with projects bearing their names while railing against the mechanism, government, which made it all possible.

This sophistry of "Entrepreneurial Economic Reality" speaks more to the casualty and it's effects on an issue xenophobes rant about on Lou Dobbs. If we are to accept "Entrepreneurial Economic Reality" as pseudonym for small business and it's activity, then the economic surges of Texas and the southern border states specifically in the small business realm has more to do with, Mexico, Latin America and the exportation of its citizens in light of it's maldeveloped national economy to the developed U.S. contrary to xenophobic ravings immigration regardless of means always energizes economies.

History did not stop in the 1600's

We read about Robber Barons. We read about the stupendous wealth gains during the crash of 1929 and beaver faced economic students sit in rapt attention as another Nobel Laureate spit gibberish about cycles of a free market and the jumbled sophistry of it all concludes with "where was I, what was I saying?" Yet for some synaptic anomaly, some mental glitch, we never seem to get it that history isn't something always made or happened in the past we express outrage at the in your face compromise and violations against the very psyche of humanness, which always seems to happen on the endless pages of the history books rapt attentive students coopt their original thinking ability with. So when those same episodes we express indignation and outrage at happen in our contemporary existence we consistently fail to see and recognize we are the ones history is being made with. Our mindlessness and complacency is what the next vitriolic righteous indignation will be directed at.

History did not stop in the 1600's. Norms of human behavior did not start nor statically grind to a halt with Columbus and his voyage. Edicts didn't suddenly become laws with Portugal and the Catholic Pope's Bifurcation of the world. "The White man's burden," was simply a dialectical slogan. There has always been a continuum of human activity and till the sun super novas there always will be.

So as we sit, spectators in this latest installment of guile and the embodiment of Jack and his wit which the housing economy and the Sub Prime Rate swindle is once again revealing, let us look no further than ourselves and our levels of tolerance.

Maybe I'll find time to comment on the Bush Administration decision (which by the way is at the expense of the home foreclosure viral) to underwrite J.P. Morgan's purchase of the Bear Sterns Bank to the tune of $3o billion which to paraphrase Bob Marley "in the abundance of waters the fool is thirsty" and so in a sea of swindled cash Bear Sterns was thirsty.

Rabbits and the secret of Pahokee, Florida

Ever wonder why Route Running, Bull Rushing, Busting the Hole and all those intangibles that define great football players came so canny to some native Floridian football players? Well it seems chasing rabbits has a lot to do with it. Welcome to the gridirons best kept secret. The Muck City chase, the secret of Pahokee, Florida. No one really knows when young aspiring high school football players Black and White decided upon chasing rabbits as a performance enhancer. But chasing rabbits in the harvested sugarcane fields of Pahokee, flushing the rabbits out engaging in hour long chases naturally honed those instincts and abilities that would appear so effortlessly on football fields. So it seems from the mechanical rabbits of Greyhound races to the organic ones of Pahokee's sugarcane fields, rabbits do more than hop and nibble on carrots.

War, Liberalism and The Democrats

The Democratic Party has been labeled since the Vietnam hand wringing as soft on War. But the fact of the matter is, if for a minute either party's name is done away with and the focus is instead directed on certain imperatives and tendencies at certain specific moments in U.S. history then one will have to conclude that it isn't whatever purported party platform was being presented at the time, but being on the right side of history is the qualifier.

Starting with the Civil War the imperative practiced by the party of Lincoln was Progressive, hence Liberal. One which contemporary reaction it's measure Ann Coulter, Linda Ingraham would be hurling diatribes and epithets at. The rebellious South, which the Democratic Party is legatee would then be the hearth and haven of all your neo-cons with their intellectual Liberalism.

The mismanagement of World War I birthed the Titanic Apocalypse of World War II which was successfully prosecuted by a Democratic Administration. The Korean Conflict another mismanaged effort was under a Republican Administration . Then Vietnam with it's iconic roof top woe came to it's ignominious finals under Republican ineptitude.

The status quo of any context fear change not for any reason than the impression of not being able to account for it's conclusion. But as soon as some form of assurance is gleaned, then the phenomenon of the reactionaries now the vanguard for change is complete. Once again the Republicans and their critique of War and the Democrats reminds us of this fact. War is not a line item to be either approved or vetoed and Iraq is it's fact.

Henry Ford his $ 5, NAFTA and International Trade

Africa's impoverishment and economic dysfunction isn't due to the lack of International Trade. As a matter of fact a primary cause of Africa's economic malaise is a type of international activity. One that exploits African resources at the expense of Africa's internal development. Add on the bribery and corruption phenomena which is a natural consequence of un-developed Political Economies and you get Africa's economy as model.

It boggles the mind to hear Lackeys and Apologist for this model of International Trade, Fareed Zakaria in his March 10, 2008 Newsweek article is one, which posits that the U.S. must serve, must continue serving the global function of National Economies, babble their idealistic gibberish that a revision of NAFTA is symbiotically catastrophic for the U.S. and the world.

Whatever happened to Nations unilaterally developing their national and internal infrastructure, building roads, schools, hospitals, bridges, railroads, putting their citizens to work. Thereby creating and first and foremost establishing an internal-national economy that will nurture and sustain a fact of national trade before attempting to interact globally. The idea and practice of external sources accrediting valuation to a nations productivity is for political-economies at a certain stage in development. This simply means trade or any honest semblance of it cannot exist between un-equal political-economies only plunder and exploitation will.

Why should Mexico rely on NAFTA to economize itself when three-fourths of the Mexican national infrastructure is non-existent? The only beneficiaries of NAFTA are multi-national speculators who indulge the vagaries of Imperialism and it's misanthropy.

How often do we snicker at the spectacle of so-called Third World Nations and the show case capital city while the towns villages and slums around it are in the stone age---and criticism is supposed to be accepted from Apologist, whose only reason is to maintain such travesty that if only more international markets were opened to the poor Kenyan farmer, Peruvian peasant or Indian street dweller their lives would improve and the laid off analog factory worker in Michigan who couldn't even find Kenya, Peru, or India on a map were their life dependent on it, will be better off!

No! What those Apologist mean is, this paradigm of Colonial Political-Economy that requires the U.S. National Economy serve as the global surrogate for non-existent national economies of the world must continue. The speculator legatee beneficiaries who do not have any reason or incentive to revise, reform and where necessary over haul this paradigm that has 6,000 + Billionaires on a planet of 6 billion+, want it to continue and the dialectics of it, again shows in an un-equal economical relationship what you have is plunder and just as the vagaries of imperialism plunder the un-developed economies of the Third World so is the world exploiting the economically anomalous relationship the U.S. holds with it at the expense of Henry Ford's $5 epiphany.

Jealousy, the 60's and Justice Samuel Alito

During Samuel Alito's confirmation process for a perch on the U.S. Supreme Court, he expressed a notion which correctly frames him as culturally vindictive and jealous.

Alito expressed the conclusion that, during the movements of the 60's he viewed privileged kids in Ivy League Colleges behaving in manners he felt was an affront to their privilege. Alito must have felt he was in the presence of kindred spirits. Hunched over behind the table, able to finally be under the lights of here is my critique of an epoch which Alito's disdain aside, for whatever it's worth actuated the lives of an entire historical group of citizens---because without having the courage to overtly say it, he threw his lot in with Strum Thurmond and Trent Lott who are firmly on record with their feelings for those day's 60's and pre.

Has any one read any of Alito's opinions since he garnered a seat on the Supreme Court, which as the office of the Presidency was essential brokered? Not only is Alito mocking his strict constructionist mantle, but he is actually contemptuous of his dissenting colleagues, sparing no intellectual courtesy.

Isn't disdain the offspring of jealousy and bigotry?

The candy bar was a gun

The man hunt was intense, the voices shrill. Their faces flushed with the excitement of the chase. Within their hearts lay the deceit of concern wearing the mask of a 6-o-clock evening news anchor.

Who is to be feared

The pathetic soul who at the baying of the hounds trembled to the core of his misery crawling on hands and knees seeking safety in a swampy fetid infestation that even those slithering, slimy corruptions of children's nightmares dared traverse.

Or

The shiny alloyed badge on straining chest, shooting first and then having the gall to rationalize that the candy bar in the hands of the 9 year old Black boy was a gun.

A rationalization which says it loud and clear to those ears not defended by the syrupy drip of "just a cop doing his job," that in the eyes of the White police officer the 9 year old Black boy was just another one less.

Bush sneaks in, Ahmadinejad gets the Red Carpet

This whole proposition that Al Qaeda in Iraq warrants U.S. presence in Iraq is seriously disingenuous.

The main beneficiary of all the trillions being pumped into Iraq by the U.S. is Iran, because when the last time George Bush got the Red Carpet treatment in Iraq? So why did Ahmadinejad go to Iraq on the weekend of 3/1/08; and get it? George W. Bush the embodiment of all upstaged and out maneuvered has to sneak into Iraq yet Iranian Ahmadinejad swoops in broad daylight, gets the Red Carpet treatment plausibly funded by some of the U.S. trillions and a Honor detail probably American trained.

The central proposition of John McCain's Iraq thought is if the U.S. pulls out, Al Qaeda will trumpet it defeated the U.S. (As if just the fact the world's Super-Power taking on Al Qaeda on Al Qadian terms doesn't already imply that.) So how does McCain address this spectacle of Iran with it's deeds telling the world that it out sourced it's Iraq question to the U.S. and the U.S. with it's Johnny Come Lately presumptions obliged in the most comical way.

American lives and treasure is being lost and spent in pursuit of and in the employ of Iranian Foreign policy and Iranian theocracy. Now if that isn't the mother of all hood winks?

The Ethics of Consent of Organ Transplants in Pets

When human beings can't stand each other, the Anthropomorphism spectacle of pets begins to take all sorts of convoluted turns.

The CBS early show for 2/29/08; had a story on transplant surgery for pets. The story was about a woman, her cat and the $10,000 Kidney transplant it had.

I want to focus on the Ethics and Morality of the process for pet organ donations.

If a human being , in this case Michael Vick, the former Atlanta Falcon Quarterback currently imprisoned, can lose his liberty, his livelihood and standing in society because he indulged in fighting dogs who are bred, a breed intended to do exactly that---then if misanthropomorphic people with smug looks across their faces pursue organ transplants for pets, and if the pet shelter which provides the donor pet justifies it's participation with, a pet owner seeking a donor must agree to adopt the donor animal, after the transplant.

What I want to know is, if society is so Pet conscious, so animal loving to the point the Animal Rights Group PETA can display placards seeking the castration of a human being, then who or what communicated the seriousness of the issue of consent to the donor animal, and who is the next of kin in case of transplant complications?

"Yes We Can," A dirge for the Clinton Machine

Bob Marley the Reggae great once chanted "When the cats away the mice will play," and so it goes that in the absence of originality mediocrity will goose step it's jackboot comedy, also, in the land of the blind the one-eyed is King, because how are we to truly grasp the spectacle of what was with waspish snobbishness coined Clinton Machine? So a rural character rose to Govern a state which headquartered the very cause in principle and in deed of America torn asunder from it's middle class, the center must hold myth. All that is wrong Walmart embodies, from destruction of unionized labor to the obscenity of toxic chemicals in pet food, Walmart and it's condescension has been the symbiotic portal.

Rarely is there natural coincidence in political-economy, so it goes that the mediocre poseur which is Bill Clinton had to find his slant into national political prominence from the land of Walmart.

The sirenic flattery of the ingenuity of Clintonism truly had the Clinton Machine with her Madam ship, Hillary Clinton at the helm, taking for granted the fact that this is the same verdant earth where Napoleon found his Waterloo, where Richard Nixon over reached, where George W. Bush forgot that the Dogs of War are a tireless brutal lot, where the British Army with Churchill in its files found it's Fashoda, where Hannibal wined, dined and Fabius patiently stalked, where Chaka Zulu mistook terror for loyalty and so the list of historical hubris goes on, marching on the inexorably logic that if any personality assumes that the Presidency of the U.S. is 'my Turn" as Hillary Clinton under the astounding naive tutelage of her Bill " The political genius" Clinton posed, her Barack Obama is bound to appear and once again right the scales of Hubris!

No matter what happens in the Democratic nomination for President, the Clinton Machine has listed, and just as Ohio once found itself the last stand battle ground for rusting analog industry when it ran into Clintonism NAFTA, so is Hillary staking Ohio as her final stand , what an irony!

Obama, Obama, Obama!!!! Hillary hears the chants and her frenzied recourse is the wail the it isn't fair naivete she gets asked question first. Talk about a public Prozac moment! For one who claims to have what it takes to be President, the I Am Woman and it's not fair argument is a bad joke.

Reaganomics and Crack Cocaine

I'm of the persuasion That the Crack Cocaine phenomenon has been incorrectly defined by Black-Intelligentsia as being a political phenomenon, a ploy by the U.S. status quo to destabilize the Black Community. Instead of the definition, an economical phenomenon as it should correctly be defined.

The Crack Cocaine phenomenon was simply a Capitalist tool to facilitate and service a level and degree of Capitals development, at a specific point in the development of U.S. Imperialism, specifically Finance Capital.

U.S. Imperialism--- A Brief Summery

The beginnings of the 1980's was economically a trial for the U.S. Capitalism was entering a new and distinct phase particularly for the mature, industrial-manufacturing economy of the U.S. The National Economy was under the intense strain of birthing the expansionist flux of Finance Capital in it's more mature appearance and the effects were at odds with the more linear and stable result of servicing a National Economy based on credit.

The late '70's and prior to the Reagan Administration, 1980-88; saw an extreme decline in the economy, both nationally and internationally. Whole sectors of Bulwark industry such as the automobile industry as represented by Chrysler Motors were on the brink of bankruptcy even to the point that the U.S. Govt., itself had to bail out Chrysler Motors by giving it a direct loan. The commercial banks who normally would have been the ones to do so could not afford to undertake the massive responsibility and subsequent servicing of the loan. Oil and it's derivatives was on the one hand with the contraction of the steel and it's component industry on the other exerting profound adverse effects on the economy. In the face of all that, politically the U.S. was laid impotent with a type of political action occurring in Iran that it's executive and military leadership were ill-prepared to deal with. Capital, particularly Finance-Capital, which as we know, knows and has no allegiances nor borders was transforming itself into a maturity that the U.S. with it's international presumptions of leadership could either vanguard of a more able political- economy would assert itself that would ensuingly leave the U.S. in it's wake---this was the climate of the U.S. circa late '70's early '80's.

The National Economy of the pre '80's was on the one hand lacking the high volume of cash flow required to satisfy U.S. Global obligations and on the other, the maintenance at a stable level the effects of Finance Capital's motion upon the mid and lower level incomes. Finance Capital was in it's expansionist mode, consequently formal manufacturing such as Steel production were losing out to the up and coming cheaper economies of the far east. Finance Capital was restructuring and stabilizing itself towards the servicing of speculation and Super-Monopolies. The political-economical landscape in the U.S. was in a state of shock and paranoia. Tried and proven, time -worn industries were being squeezed out. Attitudes that had nurtured post World War II industry were coming up short in the face of the highly agitated ones necessary to exist in the unstable wake of Finance Capital. Post World War II, the American Economy had been of the basis for the revitalization of the economies of allies and foe, particularly the German and Japanese economic resuscitation. The U.S. economy had proven mature and nationally massive enough to maintain it's anomalies independent from the strain of it's obligations.

The dearth of any political-economy is Value, which is indicated materially as money and the means of it's production. What this means is first, the human being in that activity of re-creating those necessary means for survival and existence brings value or purpose to those necessities created and developed. The value which is purpose given those creations and developments are in essence extensions of the human being on which survival and existence are dependent. This is what, within a community or society of humans it's means of transfer, and exchange then becomes the most common form and vital medium of interaction with fellow human, that most basic manner those necessities for survival and existence are circulated---which is what we know as money/capital.

The U.S. prior to the Reagan years was on the verge of having a short-fall with money. Tenders of political-economies subscribe to a variety of mechanisms in protecting and developing their respective political-economies. The Reagan Administration chose one that has been tried and proven. It chose that of governmental spending, which in the instance was building up the Military with the resultant expenditure on defense. Flooding the national economy with cash through defense spending, the Reagan Administration had to solve the problem of how to truly stimulate the economy with it's cash infusion. Money was being pumped into the economy massively, but it was in wrong hands. The white suburbanites who worked for the defense industry and were accessing the cash were not the compulsive consumers, nor was their type of consumption the appropriate and necessary one for that agitated circulation of cash demanded by a resurging national economy. A crucial factor emerged, which as a result served as that point of fusion, through which that required flow cash from suburbanite white workers into desired circulatory flow of cash was made possible. A sizable element of those defense workers were products of parents who had participated in the counter culture drug imbibing years of the '60's and as such the drug culture was familiar to them. It was then, with them that the Reagan intent found it's maturing medium.

Drugs, illegal drugs, controlled substances or narcotics have been a part of U.S. culture for a while. But the middle '80's saw a profound change in the effect such have had and can have on a society as a whole. The U.S. drug culture naturally is illegal and as with anything illegal it's servicing and activity remains where we colloquially describe as underground, which in this case a part of the underground economy. Underground economies, as your astute and pragmatist economist know are phenomena that, in the absence of a resolute above ground economy then become that medium through which a political economy resuscitates and gathers itself, because they facilitate and enable that required volume of cash [capitol] to circulate quickly within the society resulting in a stimulation of economic activity pursuing the cash that can appear above ground and proceed participatorially in the process of giving direction and stability to the above ground economy. This, then is what happened during the middle years of the Reagan Administration.

The middle Reagan years witnessed a resurgence and emergence of political economic activity that if one has the wherewithal to discern, doesn't appear as conventional wisdom would've us think "due to the market forces" or it's least understood and cabalistic sibling "Free Market Enterprise". The U.S. economy of the middle Reagan years due to certain specifics gathered steam resulting in a whole host of circumstances, of which the most significant and profound was the culture of drugs, particularly "Crack Cocaine".

U.S. National Economy---A Brief Summery

The national economy developed upon two deterministic factors: (1) stable employment (2) debiting and credit. The formal heavy-industrial manufacturing that was the structural support for economic development particularly within the national economic sense, provided dynastic employment in the sense that , for instance Lunch Box Willy would gain employment, organize his existence around the white picket fence ideal, do his bit in supporting the national economy through the various debiting for services and consumption of social commodities, his son(s) shall follow in his foot steps of comparative one's, hence replicating the entire cycle, which in it's turn created a national economy that could support whatever was termed and postured as the American ideal and way of life.

The above described phenomena was the norm for the average of White America and the exceptions of Black America. But on the other hand Black America's social and economic development differed greatly from the White experience.

The Black inner-city experience was once directed from it's inception, that it's participants would not have the stability of stable employment. The middle class phenomena of credit and debit was not a factor in the development of Black America. Rather a cash on demand was the variant. If it should be said that the White economy provided the national economy with long term fore-sight, Black economy catalysed the short term fulfilment of it's needs. This environment and the vacuum appearing from the effects of Finance Capital's activities upon the economic landscape coupled with Crack-Cocaine phenomenon catapulted Black inner-city economy preeminently int the pulse and heart of capital and placed it realistically within reach of that economic stability of self-determination that had been effectively denied Black America.

Inner city---Servicing the National Economy

To speak of a Black economical landscape within the American one is to infer a homogeneous entity inter-acting with the national body, but that isn't the case, Black economy simply designates a level of U.S. economy, a particular niche and servicing a particular type of capital. There exist a few exceptions, but in the all Black economy maintains a retail function generating that high volume of cash necessary for the short term fulfilment of capital. But due to the cumulative effects of Finance Capital, the Black economical landscape during the Reagan years experienced a radical transformation at the inner-city level.

Black populations of inner-city U.S.A. were as they have always been a stimulant in the raw sense on the national economy, A mechanism for flow of cash within the national economy. Reaganomics understood this function clearly, and in the wake of Finance Capital's activity upon the national economic landscape, it utilized the services of the inner-city in a fashion reminiscent of the Prohibition Era.

Black America due to it's unstable relationship with mainstream America has historically found it's economic activity in the illegal underground economies of it's evolving milieus. The Reagan years were not any different. Cocaine had gradually begun to reassert itself during the late '70's, and during the Reagan initial years a more potent and powerful variant of it was developed, Crack.

Crack Cocaine then flooded Black communities and then became the New Work Horse for Black economic initiative in the underground economy. Crack Cocaine a solidification and rockification of it's base powdery form became a variant that was able to transmit it's narcotizing agent so powerfully and for a limited amount of time, during which the narcotizing sensation was intensely magnified that it became the El Dorado Mother Lode of the drug underground economy because it's consumers in that never ending quest of pursuing that brief and highly intense narcotizing stimulation were compelled to spend money, time after time in that cycle, which therein signaled the awesome power of it's addiction---and that in raw economic terms was what the Reagan tendered National-Economy needed to attain that stability, that respite to leverage itself on to it's above ground realization of vanguarding capital in it's Finance Capital maturity and it's international imperatives.

The dynamism of the illegal drug economy particularly Crack Cocaine

The decade of the '80's; has the historical designation as the era of Reaganomics. On the surface, advocacy by Black Nationalistic imperatives critiques Reaganomics as being racist and anti-black, however a close dispassionate scrutiny has to conclude that Reaganomics, in it's specificity of enabling Black America to access massive cash could have completed what that other Republican, Abraham Lincoln started---The access to true political economical development for Black people.

The political economical landscape the Reagan administration inherited was one that was in shambles, as already pointed out, Finance Capital was in a rapid state of motion, the economical integrity had been compromised, to stabilize it a true and correct interpretation of economic determinism had to be bought lock, stock and barrel, in a sense, colonial policies comparative to the British dictates of Sino Policy during the 1800's had to be once again lifted up from their dusty shelves, dusted off, to once again see the light of day, as Reaganomics struggled to support the long term objectives of Finance Capital with a short term necessity for creating a highly dynamic national economy.
Reaganomics picked chapters out of British-Sino Colonial policies of the 1800's and pages out the Post-Stock Market Crash of the 1920's Prohibitionist Era and welded such to a contemporary commitment that had a 'no compromise" attitude towards social reality, an effort that would have raised the eye brows of the past-master himself Machiavelli. The British-Sino Policies of the 1800's were designed to Bulwark British Imperialism ---The policies of Reaganomics were designed to direct U.S. imperialism towards the fulfilment of it's national and international obligations. The policies of Reaganomics a la' Neo-Taipanism were designed to saturate the national economy with credit power for the impending maturity of Finance Capital, as such the national economical landscape was turned into a deregulated netherworld of acquisition.

As I've shown in proceeding paragraphs, the suburban White defense workers had the cash and Black America had a new and potent banner of the drug culture as such it was inevitable that both would fuse and with that simple matter of factness of the human condition and it's tendencies and habits, the Reagan Administration was able to solve that question of what and how to stimulate a Capitalist Political Economy which in it's seeming implosion had been the bane of 3 previous Presidents and even causing one to undertake an endeavor which, it it's revelatory aftermath caused his exit in disgrace from the Presidency.
Those element of White suburban America with the means to experience the new drug phenomenon, spent their cash which due to the Reagan Administration Defense Buildup was made available. The cash upon entering the Black community and it's elements of whom since the emergence of the Black social condition has been unstable relative to the applied and governing forces of the political-economy which dictated the Black American existence, once again, with the manner the incoming cash was utilized fulfilled what has been the Black historical role in the U.S., a sizable amount of the Black community now possessing large amounts of cash begun the process of enabling the cash to mature and realize itself with spending it in consuming commodities. In consequences of the intense and high amount of consumption entire industries pursuing the now awakening national economy and it's cash flow emerged. The U.S. economy attaining that stability and development was now ready to once again vanguard capital and it's Finance Capital imperialistic imperatives.

Reaganomics A Summary

The Black populations of inner-city U.S.A. were as they have always been, a consuming function for the retail tier of the national economy and it was with the Black populations that Reaganomics unleashed the raw might of capital.

The period of Crack Cocaine dominance can be likened unto a vacuum within the U.S. National Economical landscape, a transitional period wherein capital sought to define a comprehensive direction for economical doctrine. Reaganomics was in effect a two-prong directive to maintain the stability of the economy through:
1. The public sector, specifically the Military-industrial Complex.
2. The dynamism of the illegal drug economy particularly Crack Cocaine.
The combination of the exceeding high volume of cash that was recycled within the inner-cities and the inner-cities habit of unbridled consumption catalysed the resuscitation of the national economy, hence servicing the needs of Finance Capital internationally, and allowing for the realization of capital nationally.

Thus in essence the Crack Cocaine Phenomenon during the Reagan Era was simply a tactical maneuver in the service of revitalizing U.S. imperialism and it's Strategic pursuits.

Criticizing Congress an Industry called Soap Box Pontification

Every day, every other day books are being published critical of Government, politics, politicians. Left this, Right that. Liberal and Conservative hurled epithets. Blue State, Red State labeling as if the Dogs of War eat biscuits and curl in front of fire places.

Faces on cable, voices on talk radio play the vilification of Congress game.

Why isn't the vilification directed at the rightful recipients the voters who keep on keeping on voting like lines of clueless prey shown with purple fingers as if the wag of purple fingers excuses the absence of weapons of mass destruction, as if simply casting a ballot is panacea directed by the World Bank and International Monetary Fund or better yet Civic Duty 101, explaining away lack of accountability for the Sub Prime Rate trough gluttony, as if politicians are a breed apart and are not simply reflective of the electorates naivete and who is to blame for the electorates naivete?

Who is to blame for Ms. South Carolina 2007 Illiteracy?

And being that we are all compatriots in the blame game, so who does Apropos blame for time spent on this post?

The Savagery of Charlotte Jones

A few weeks ago, away from the glare of accountability, as most issues of State and Government are lately, Brian Sterner a quadriplegic bound to his
wheelchair had the misfortune of experiencing first hand what all the tax payers of Hillsboro, Florida are getting for their tax receipts.

When Charlotte Jones a Deputy with the Hillsboro Police Dept. savagely dumped Sterner on the floor of the Police station, after Sterner had been brought there for a traffic violation.

Hillsboro Sheriff, Joe Docobo had the gall to characterize this instance of State Brutality with, Jones the officer in question lacked proper training.

But the fact is lack of training is not the issue.

A Police officer savagely dumped a human being in a wheelchair on the floor without any regard for the persons well being. The Police Dept. characterized the savage act as that of lack of training. But what sort of training does any human need to know not to inflict wanton pain and discomfort on another?

The New England Patriots and the 2008 Super Bowl Commercials, What a farce

Super Bowl commercials. Super sub par commercials. The Bud Bowl creations back in the day were worth talking about. There have been moments in Super Bowl commercials also worth speaking on, but what was that the tired ass brains of the third wave gave us for the '08?

Nonetheless what a game it was, New England finally getting their come uppance! Eli Manning for once not allowing his weak chin to get in the way as the New York Giants punished New England and the delusional arrogance of Tom Brady.

It wasn't all that bleak though. The Life Water commercial, lizards moon-walking to Micheal Jackson's Thriller is worth talking about. Garmin's GPS, help for the Petit Corporal to find his way out of perverting the 1789 Revolution was also worth a nod. The gurgling big head E-Trade baby can stay gurgling and Justin Timberlake please! If getting your balls squashed on a pole is what Pepsi could come up with, you should have simply spoofed your role in Janet's wardrobe malfunction.

As an end note---Hyundai with it's Genesis asked we think about it. How about here is a cold dash of reality. Hyundai? Forget about it.

Lizards doing Thriller? Now that's worth a Sequined Glove.

911 Calls made public, A ghoulish practice

The Habit of releasing 911 calls for commercial purposes is ghoulish and must be ridiculed and opposed.

There comes a period after certain high profile and well publicized incidents, media outlets, disingenuously foist on the public the 911 calls of the incidents.

Talk about insensitivity.

What is being accomplished besides the base nature of gawking?

Media outlets in that perpetual quest for the bottom line, profit margins as measure of responsibility have incorporated the practice of playing 911 calls under the pretext it's news, when instead it's crass voyeurism.

This practice is an outgrowth of that of releasing plane cock-pit recordings of crashes. There is a difference however, cockpit recordings of plane crashes speak more of the mechanics of the accident. It allows the public and relative investigators to understand what was wrong in a way the intimacy and individual of a 911 call is least concerned with.

Islamic Militancy and the Neo-Cons

As we listen to the Bush Administration and it's apologist intellectuals hold their symposiums on the various talk shows about Iraq and America in the period of a certain type of Islamic Militancy.

One wonders which reality is being analyzed?

What sort of reality begs for the spectacle of the hard sell that National Security is in jeopardy if whatever the articulated threat is actually warrants the perfidy of Neo-Conservatism's gambits which the nation has been subjected to.

The Noose , Golfweek and the Cold War of American Racism

The latest casualty of the Cold War of American Racism is now Golfweek Magazine.

Golfweek magazine in a spasm of cosmic stupidity, hung a noose on the cover of it's recent issue, this came on the heels of a Golf commentator suggesting that a viable way to stop Golfs protagonist Tiger Woods was to lynch him.

Besides the ancillary verbiage this instance of bigotry has wrought, the most comfortable, which main stream hypocrisy has settled on, is , the actions of Golfweek has presented a medium for a national discussion on lynchings, nooses, and racism.

Now this proposal ridiculously expects the Black condition to be just as ditsy as the commentator whose words thrust and shoved Golfweek on to a shelf besides all the other Gone With The Wind and Bell Curve works of the colossal idealism that is Racism in all it's excuses.

Discussion? A national discussion on lynching? Now if this isn't the recourse of minds steeped in extreme fear, the terror of what the victims of American Bigotry have as the legitimate natural justifiable right to, then what sort of adding insult to injury is the supposedly well thought response by serious minds that the response to bigotry is a discussion?

Martin Luther King Jr. irrelevant to Civil Rights: Hillary Clinton Whines

Punch drunk and reeling, stupefied and thrashing, Hillary Clinton is exhibiting the classic symptoms of idealism gone awry in the worst way. We have been hostaged for a while now to the obscenity of the Old Guard Democrats with that practice of the Democratic Elite purporting to speak for the Democratic Rank and File while compromising it's interest. Which brings us to this interesting phenomenon of crying as political activity and Hillary being it's proponent.

Now if this is all there was it would be relegated to the fabric of historical farces.

In response to Barack Obama's indestructible Change platform, Hillary Clinton with one sweep of her flabby arms declared that Martin Luther King Jr. was inconsequential to the Civil Rights reality of American Politics and the destruction of Jim Crow.

Clintonism in it's Hillary form revealed itself to be what the history of White Liberalism has more often than not, turned out to be when confronted with the very human and natural expression of Black ambition and determination, that snarl of how dare ambition and it's art be found in black skin in it's American condition. So it's not surprising that fighting for her political life, Hillary Clinton, instinctively found solace in that one and only critique' White Liberals wield against Blacks who dare challenge their Liberalism and privilege of race. "She had no qualms in trampling all over the "I have a Dream" Martin Luther King Jr. as evoked by her political mortal adversary Barack Obama.

Profiling and the joke is on stereotype

Before philistine Profiling, the phrase of choice was stereo-type and
stereo-typing. in post Reagan United States, it's now profiling. When welded with seeming conscientious purpose it assumes social responsibility hence redemption from it's supposed maligned shelf of bigotry---and all the "good" people rest on their laurels, sanctimoniously, of having fought the good fight with their marginalized and suppressed compatriots, that another bridge to the charnel plains of mans barbarity has been burned--- that when it thrives in it's new guise, it's insidiously unrecognized, Profiling and the joke is on stereotype.

Reaction, across the nation has repackaged that old weapon stereo-type into it's more charismatic sibling, profiling, Culture and habits are "profiled" criminal and deviant and we acquiesce to it's intent: and we speak of the ends justify the means, hence collaborating with the very zeitgeist we "pray" to overcome on other fronts, this mechanism which finds the underprivileged and scape-goated as statistics in a reality not defined by their ability or lack of , but by the dreams and fears of another.

Racism, Arthur Blank and the Atlanta Falcons

Arthur Blank the Atlanta Falcons football team owner in response to a question on the December 10th, 2007; Monday night football game made one of the classic racist off-color jokes about Black people and fried chicken. Arthur Blank said If Michael Vick, the imprisoned Atlanta Falcons Quarter Back, didn't eat too much fried chicken while in prison, blah,blah,blah------The reality is Arthur Blank said it.

Arthur blank has been white and American long enough to know that fried chicken and black people jokes is part of the racist wink and nod. To imply otherwise, as a statement released by the Atlanta Falcons Team in damage control, that it's preposterous for any one to note the bigotry of Blank's off-color remark, considering Blank does a lot for black causes, not only adds insult to injury but it highlights how the Blank's of the world don't get it. What is preposterous is Arthur Blank is so accustomed to off-color and racist jokes that the inanity of one was his only metaphor, an inept and bumbling attempt at gallows humor at the expense of one's misfortune and his purported gentility.

Racist jokes albeit jokes continue the dehumanization process material racism pursues.

Competition, The Human Condition and Irrationality

The competitive imperative within Political-Economical Theorization implies that the means through which life recreates itself, is not uniformly distributed, hence, the human condition in pursuit of recreating the necessary and vital means for existence and survival, must compete for that which is available.

Competition thus, then exist in the realm of the impelled, an irrational response to the lack of uniformity or better put, the inability of the human condition to attain uniform availability of condition requisite for existence and survival.

This state of nature anticipates that ability to recreate uniformly that which in nature is non-uniform--- and this refutes the mantra of competition as political tendency.

Sleight of Hand, Bush, The C.I.A., One-upmanship and the Democrats

Are we expected to accept it's coincidental the significant disclosures that Iran discontinued the weaponization of it's nuclear program back in 2003 and the destruction of video tapes of C.I.A. interrogations dating back to 2005, just normally and naturally occurred in the course of the daily affairs of the Republic in the altruistic logic of governance.

Were it not for the fact the altruistic insidiousness of governance has been quite revealed over the course of human history and the United States in it's brief existence has assiduously contributed it's share. Nothing then would be amiss were we the populace to stand in Rockwellian Profile bowled over applauding governance and it's functionality.

But that is not the case. We stand on a construct which from it's inception with defiance "All men are created equal" mocked the obscene truth that the stench of slavery, black people held in chattel slavery were the foundation for the pursuit of happiness, the prosperity requisite to once again cut off the nose to spite the face of redemptive sapience from the alienation of idealism.

The Bush Administration, Neo-Conservatism and it's Evangelical-Christian hypocrisy had been chomping at the bit till it was disclosed that it's claims against the Iranian Nuclear Program was propaganda. An oppositionary impetus for whatever reason reversed earlier held views and the specter of World War III which Bush had with straight face claimed the Iranian Ayatollahs had designed for the world fizzled and morphed into the strange and peculiar revelation that the C.I.A. had destroyed tapes of it's interrogation of suspects, strangely enough attention was diverted from the Bush propaganda of a nuclearized Iran by the C.I.A. tapes, torture disclosures.

Neo-Conservatism and Islamic Imperialism, A Dialectic

It's always laughable when Al Qaeda is propped up as being past masters of Terrorism in the context of political action. Is this the same Al Qaeda that cannot even seize and hold territory? Is this the same Al Qaeda whose Ideological contradictions is so buffoonish that the substance of it's Political-Economy, it's value comes from it's enemies?

How real is the Caliphate specter, Islamic Imperialism painted by Bush and Co. in the recent edition of The Boy Who Cried Wolf one too many times, when the Islamicist enemy cannot even hold down a neighborhood in Baghdad. Yet if Neo-Conservatism is to be believed Islamic Imperialism is a strategic equal to it's Free-Enterprise Dictatorship sibling.

Compassionate Conservatism and Steroids

Whats wrong with this.

George Bush had the temerity in two accounts. First as owner of a baseball team and secondly as a President in declaring the indictment of Barry Bonds a "sad day for baseball."

The pronouncement accomplished one thing, reinforcing human idiocy in the context of hypocrisy on a Texas sized grand scale. George Bush first as an owner of a baseball team, the Texas Rangers, was part of the steroid producing fabric which by the way created the entertaining spectacle Bush now derides as a sad day for baseball. Secondly as President, Bush abridged the will of the people in the matter of U.S. vs Scooter Libby which was all about perjury.

Scooter Libby was convicted in a matter of national security, specifically putting a C.I.A. agent in harms way.

Whats further unwholesome about the Scooter Libby incident is Men, privileged men without any hesitation decided a woman, Valerie Plame was fair game.

Bush never pronounced that was a sad day in U.S. affairs, he didn't tongue in cheek declare it a sad day for the human condition. Bush instead, by decree decided Scooter Libby's felonious malfeasance was excusable.

Should the issue of steroids even be a Bush Administration social policy concern and priority when 2 million human-beings fill up U.S. jails and prisons? It causes one to wonder, besides reactionary demagoguery what world view Bush and Co. truly have.

Aw shucks naivete and Musharraf's Pakistan

A few weeks ago, scampering Benazir Bhutto, big business anointee to play the role of opposition in Pakistan politics returned to Pakistan after what had obviously been a brokered experiment, to the welcoming violence of an assassins bomb. Which narrowly missed her but accomplished another possibility the evidence of a topical imperative that had nothing to do with suppositions of business as usual and sphere of influence politics.

The conventional wisdom then among self-proclaimed experts real politick past masters, was the usual hapless bogeyman, Al Qaeda was behind the blast and attempted assassination. The probability that the Cabal of Musharraf, the current Pakistan Military Dictator could have been behind the convenience of the bombing was not explored in any serious manner. Whether this failure was deliberate disinformation of mere analytical liberalism is left to be seen. What is known is the babble tweaking ears of apathy is, Pakistan is a U.S. ally in the global war on terrorism so analysis of events must be reduced to basic Aw Shucks Naivete.

Developments of the past days, bus loads of Pakistani intelligentsia Judge, Lawyers, Journalist being driven off to detention and torture centers, in response to the imposition of Martial Law by Musharraf and his Cabal is now revealing that it fits. if Musharraf is willing to go down the draconian and tumultuous route of Martial Law then the inference comes easy that the bombing which welcomed Bhutto was the easy logic and Al Qaeda fulfilling it's Oswaldian role easy to blame.

Standard Operating Procedure and Police Accountability

During the Nuremberg Trials for Nazi War Criminals, the victorious allies brushed aside the defense protestations that orders were simply being followed with the rejoinder, that certain orders are beyond the pale.

So why is that same dynamic alive and well in police departments across the nation. People are being killed and brutally beaten by police officers across the nation and after every incident, a police spokesperson is paraded across national jumbotrons uttering Standard Operating Procedure was used by the Siegfried in Question.

If Lessons learnt from all these episodes of the human condition are not to be seen simply within the dicta, organized violence makes the rules and human aspirations, redeemed from environmental- antagonisms affirms the dialectic of accountability, then accountability should not be relative.

Police officers have their responsibilities and summary-executions and assaults upon suspects isn't a part of it.

The Bush and pentagon position is based on the shameful argument that contemporary Turkey is a U.S. Ally in it's adventurism, the war in Iraq and as such Turkey should not be offended and this is the wrong time for the U.S. Congress to be declaring critical resolutions of Ally's, even if the Ally's in question have 90 year old genocidal blood on their hands.

One Day Short, too many too long. The Incident of the Minnesota National Guard and the 729 Days.

The Minnesota National Guard which goes by the moniker Red Bull, found itself on the short end of the real meaning of the support the troops slogan, which as the history of the Iraq War teaches has only been a diversion from the absence of material for the Republican led Bush War in Iraq.

Certain well earned benefits, for example educational benefits are being denied members of the Guard unit in question. Because some one with authority to do so, insidiously and with utter disdain for their service terminated their tour of duty One day before they would have been eligible for benefits.

The Minnesota troops would have been eligible for benefits on the 730 Th day of their duty, but orders terminating their duty named 729 Th day as official termination.

Spokespeople for the army are as usual characterizing and describing this misdeed as a simple snafu, an administrative bungle and it's being corrected. But that is not the issue. The issue is this institutionalized disdain now rife in all branches of Government, locally and nationally. Regardless of the reasons, the result and consequence as experienced is mediocrity, incompetence and an exercise in reinventing the wheel, that bespeaks colossal stupidity.

Where is Whoopi, Who is Whoopi Goldberg?

The Domestication of Whoopi Goldberg. Are you kidding me? Has anyone seen whats happening to her on "The View"? Is this what happens when you are point in a Barbara Walters model that's taking in water from the wake of the Oprah juggernaut?

I'm wondering who or what is being redeemed, rediscovered, Phoenix like rising from the ashes. Is it, "The View" from the inferno that was Rosie-Hasselbeck or is it Whoopi positioned to stir askant interest in the editorial skew of Barbara "I have hobnobbed with the puppets of history, so who is Oprah" Walters.

Apec, George Bush, Security and the Clowns Down Under

Isn't it typical of incompetence to find blame every where else but itself.

Eleven good old down under chaps from an Australian T.V. comedy show are in police custody, because of a prank they pulled on the security at the APEC meeting at good old down under Australia.

The Australian Government and it's super gung ho leader showcasing it's Ultra Security which so far seems only good at keeping at bay protest and dissent, has been which seems to be the trend in these times, where competence is an afterthought, showed up by pranksters whose only motive was to show how conditional and farcical State Security against terrorism is.

Eleven pranksters, one with Osama Bin Laden like whiskers around his chin, in broad day light breached not one but two security points in an area that can easily be argued as being for the duration of the APEC Summit the most secure on earth--- coming within feet of posing strategic threat.

Instead of the Australian Security Official acknowledging their security short comings, they had the gall to spin it! Claiming their security worked!

What is to be made of this, that John Edwards is right, and the Global War on Terrorism is a bumper sticker, a talking point for Ann Coulter Paramours? Or incompetence is really that pervasive, from the Israeli humiliation at the hands of Hezbollah, through the spectacle of American War Generals beseeching and imploring, screeching that the Rebels in Iraq are not playing fair because they won't stand still for Smart Bombs to kill them, to an Osama Bin Laden dress alike penetrating security defenses of a policy so strident in it's support of the mother of all incompetence's, Yeah! bagging that dad in Iraq. But then in an epoch where the triple negative, a Rumsfeldian contribution to grammar is Oohed and Ahhed, what else is new?

Value, understood evenless than God

Whose analysis of political-economy is valid and what standard is it's legitimacy measured by? These past days have seen what has been spoon fed to the political-economy illiterate masses as chaos in the above ground economy. We have been told that instability in the real-estate sector of the economy is the epi-center. First of all what sort of anomaly is devaluation in something as ethereal and relative as value? Techo-cratic economists, love the spectacle of Germans pushing wheel barrow loads of inflated marks for the purpose of buying a loaf of bread at the turn of the last century as illustration of the nastiness of relative economical distortions.

What is peculiar is people expect and pursue progress and deeper understanding in all other facets of life besides paradigms of political-economy and speculation of religion that the matrix of the human condition itself is understood even less than what is God. Money is understood with as much clarity than the fact it's a piece of paper intended to reflect and be the means of transferring value which isn't even understood that it's the value of human life condition.

The human condition, since the marginalization of aristocracy and the emergency of colonialism as political-economy paradigm has accepted as divine fiat the speculation of value which was agreed upon in European drawing rooms and studys as the construct of a New World Order that yawned upon history when whole nationalities and land were reduced to Colonial company-charters.

Speculative value and it's accumulation is not an absolute static, as the paradigm of Colonialism would suggest so why isn't it questioned?

The populace response "Its Fright!"

On the 8-15-07; Today Show Al Roker, the weather personality was doing his usual, on the Plaza, interacting with the spectator audience. He noticed a little girl with a sign proclaiming the day was her birthday. What caught my attention was this: Al Roker asked the girl where was she from, and the child's response was so cagey it spoke volumes.

Is this the meaning of prosperity, progress, civilization? Is this advancement after millenia of evolution, after the passing of tens of thousands of laws, after the imprisonment of millions, the execution of thousands. Life and the human-condition is still at an impasse where a little child cannot even speak freely of where she's from? Nonetheless in this age of Amber
alerts it's not surprising.

What I find ironic is even though people claim to be so devoutly religious that religion based conflicts, politically and socially dominate all practical facets of contemporary life. The hypocrisy and deviancy of humanness mocks such public displays of religiosity, so thoroughly that the only critique left such devoutness is that of Apocalyptic sanctimonious global destruction.

Made in China and The Opportunism of Mollification

Made in China. Another recall and so the litany goes, as if the entire nation is a Norman Rockwell illustration come alive in indignation. There is opportunism at work here. The narrative is being done one-dimensional and that always squeal political opportunity. As if there isn't complicity and the Chinese Communist Party is a unilateral actor of dangerous and unmitigated crimes.

Whatever happened to the multinational corporations, American, British, Dutch e.t.c. who contract the cheap labor of China and all those out-sourced to places with their lax and non-existent quality standards?

Whatever happened to the stock investors of all those companies who benefit from the profit maximized cheap labor and poor quality standards of China and it's misanthropy?

These recent disclosures of Chinese made shoddy products seem to be political shell games, throw back, intended to mollify middle class America and the blue collar electorate with ire at made in China minus the complicity of the multinationals and stock investors who are the real violators and who are the primary beneficiaries of the exploitation of labor and lax quality standards in China. Lest it's forgotten capital in pursuit of cheap labor and production also requires the lowering of quality and environmental standards.

Elections are upon us and the rallying cry of indignation, Made in China, as if Made in China just some how fantastically appeared on the shelves at Walmart, Targets and all the other cathedrals is the fist shaken in the air, the subtle nudge away from the obvious: Bill Clinton perfected it with the condescension "I feel you pain" As if Crocodilian tears of empathy excused the material injustice. So why shouldn't the empathy, indignation gambit be once again played?

AL Qaeda, Gut-Feelings and the Politics of Fear

Isn't it disingenuous for the Bush administration and it's apologist lackeys to on the one hand opportunistically exploit people's fears with hydra-like Al Qaeda sprouting all over the planet. No let me have a "gut-feeling" rather all over the universe and it's alleged summer block buster attack just in time to make up for weak Hollywood fare, or is it weak Republican inroads. Then on the other , proclaim it's tactics for the war in Iraq is bearing fruit because some rag tag wretches have purportedly run Al Qaeda aground in certain provinces and areas in Iraq.

This begs this: It behooves the imagination, that the strongest fighting force to legion like move upon human history could not run Al Qaeda aground and it had to out source as a lot of things are done these days to groups who in earlier State of the Union Addresses were referred to as thugs, murders and the killers for them to heel Al Qaeda.

It makes one wonder what was all that transformational headiness about anyway, or Al Qaeda is the doppelganger of opportunity for the Republican party that's having a hard time whipping up reactionary frenzy in a national policy that sees no economical incentive in reactionary politics.

Giuliani, Teflon politics and The Republican

Reactionary politics whether the reform-liberal or conservative hood-wink, is always about opportunity. How any individual seizes and at times creates opportunity speaks more about their character than sense of deduction.

So what does this one after another domino effect, oops! say about Rudy Giuliani's character? The colloquial adage, If you lie with dogs you'll catch the fleas is empirical wisdom.

Scandal revolves around Giuliani, who were it not for John" The Teflon Don" Gotti, would be just another red tie blue suit wearing faceless Mr. Smith in a sea of Smith's lawyering hamster like on the social-contract tread wheel.

At least Nixon was able to conceal his character flaws till his Water-Gate over reach. Giuliani is an old dog and cannot be taught new tricks, his affinity for hypocrisy has propelled him high enough and if human consciousness is to be spared the spectacle of President Giuliani's cabinet pleading guilty to corruption charges, being indicted on cocaine charges and confessions to very serious sins, then let that wheezing Bronx cheer be Giuliani's cue that yes it took a while but as his rise was built on the backs of "Wise-Guys" so has the polity wised up to him.

Hillary, Obama and the politics of "Bush-Cheney Lite"

This criticism being leveled at presidential hopeful Barack Obama, because of his jab at another presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton, calling her "Bush-Cheney Lite" is ridiculous and it's effrontery indicates the contempt mass discourse is held by pundits who seem not to have out grown their fresh-men hazing years.

Why shouldn't contenders duke it out? Where were these critics when George Bush and Co. felt it was fair game to attack a detractors wife, to out her is a profession which in some quarters practices unspeakable brutality on outed agents.

Barack Obama responded, not merely truthfully but practically and that's the operative here, that yes he would meet tyrants and despots out in the open as opposed to the cloak room secrecy of the business as usual nuance politics.

The naivete, Hillary Clinton accuses Barack Obama of not knowing the way of the world is ludicrous. Obama is black and regardless of what sort of black he is the historical condition of blackness has been marginalization and oppression, and that is, the circumstance of tyranny.
So what nature of despotism and dictatorship is Obama naive to? The shrill of Hillary Clinton that Obama's willingness to meet despots, will diminish the stature of the Presidency, now that is naivete. The stature of the U.S. is diminished and being mocked when the world sees how cheap explosive devices in Iraq thwart the strategy of "Shock and Awe".
