ESPN NFL Analyst Herm Edwards Educating Us or Is He Selling Us Slavery by William Thorpe

The Running Back position or Half-Back or Full Back in Football is, football. Its integral to football as pigskin and once upon a time mythical Impis as Barry Sanders, The Great Jim Brown, The Battering Rams of Jerome Bettis, John Riggins and of course the improbable Walter "Sweetness" Payton ruled the 120 yards of battlefield, AKA the Gridiron of football war as Running Backs. Yup Running Backs. Now Herm Edwards has seen the bottoms of many runningback cleats and the resulting torn and ripped turf introduced to his face from those cleats to respect and I stress respect those Impis as runningbacks ruling the gridiron. So what's possessed him to now join in enabling  and further advancing the lie and treachery, yes treachery that is specifically in the employ of the billionaire owners of teams in the NFL, that the runningback isn't valuable and the game has passed them a narrative that only has one purpose which is squeezing as much value from the human being as capital, then casting off the exploited and used husk, human beings which in this specific circumstance are runningbacks, yup human beings who are football players. So I ask again what is Herm Edwards in his role as ESPN NFL analyst selling when he argues that modern football is a passing game and as such the runningback isn't integral to its offensive schemes (and I'm paraphrasing) as such should appreciate the pennies tossed their way. But the reality is even if modern football is a passing game, then it all the more emphasizes the runningback in all aspects of its function and purpose: from the pure function of running the ball, to blocking, being a check down safety valve for the quarterback and being the one and only reason, the passing from play action works. Here is an anecdote that I challenge Herm Edwards to refute, Matthew Stafford as the former Detroit Lions Quarterback was traded to The LA Rams and he promptly won a Superbowl, why? With the LA Rams, Stafford was compelled to use his runningback as opposed to his fetishzing the jump ball pass to Calvin Johnson aka Megatron, that only padded stats but nothing to quote Herm Edwards played to win, so what we see is the runningback is as integral to modern football as the position was back during Jim Thorpe's Dog Soldier days on the Gridiron. There isn't any insight I'm providing that isn't obvious to any perfunctory appreciator of the game of football, so it's incomprehensible to hear and have ESPN and its serfs stridently pushing the runningback isn't valuable narrative when we know it's a lie. The devaluation of the runningback position is due to the treachery of the NFL Players Union selling out the runningback position under the gambit of a rookie salary cap. Regardless of the rationale and logic of the rookie salary cap the NFL Players Union should've carved out an exemption for the runningback position from the top end. On the issue of Sequon Barkley selling out I'll leave that to the barbershop to remind him that the ancestors survived slavery so he wouldn't have to kowtow to the New York football Giants, come on man.

Why Lebron James [King James] is Correct and Voting Is Speech By William Thorpe

Voting is Speech. A means, a mechanism of stating intentions, how one wants to live. Revolutions, uprisings also are means and mechanisms of stating intentions of how to live.

What we have been confronted with since the inception of the United States experiment is what has always been the dialectic of the human condition, its antagonisms, and contradictions as dynamic of its various parts. So the United States experiment created the Black American because of enslavement as a political designation meaning a construct of slaveholding law as contradiction to itself, in violation of its "all men are created equal" declarative for independence, but for the enslaved black people subjects, an antagonism.

To Thomas Jefferson who as author of the "all men are created equal" declarative, theoretically speculated on the inalienability of man's liberty while enslaving Black people the declaration was simply a hypocrisy, a contradiction. While for the enslaved black person what was a simple hypocrisy and contradiction which Thomas Jefferson had the intellectual-liberal indulgence of simply ignoring or being anguished by was an antagonistic-subjugated fact of life which could not be resolved with the speech of voting, but only revolution and uprising which the enslaved Nat Turner in 1831 gave us it's practice.

So we fast forward to the 21st century and 2020 where Black America is not subject to the chattel antagonism of slavery but firmly occupying a contradictory relationship within the United States experiment. Just as James Madison, Thomas Jefferson, Alexander Hamilton, John Adams and Co. of the dusty dead white men participant in the formation of the United States shared political-economy and social commonalities. They also shard and held contradictory relationships with each other and within their work forming the United States of which Federalist papers reveals. The point being, contradiction as dialectic is the operative with any society and its resolution is point, counterpoint, debate, and argument culminating in voting is speech.

The fact Black America has historically participated in voting is speech, means and mechanism of stating its intentions and how it wants to live while not reaping minuscule reward for its participation and labors is not indictment of voting as impotent and farcial means or an affirmation of a formative dialectic of the nation. Instead what it reveals is an intrinsic absence of motive understanding and grasp of the national contradictions which as it existed between Thomas Jefferson and Co. currently also exist waiting to be resolved, reformed, and exploited by capable and able perspectives.

Currently, there is a reemerging tendency which has parochially existed to the determent of Black America that innocuously states, voting is an exercise in futility. As election day 2020 approaches it's Fifth Column foot soldiers, collaborators i.e The Breakfast Club Show, Sean P. Diddy Combs, elements of a type of Black Nationalist, and the usual cabal opponents of Black America's assertiveness and its objective political-economy are beating their chest, gnashing their teeth, howling that voting is a trick and should be shunned by Black America.

This 2020 version of the tendency is posisted under the banner, Black America should stop voting Democrats because Democrats have not advanced Black America's interest. The only thing this argument reveals and exposes besides its obvious nature as ploy to dissuade Black America voting because the same thing isn't said about Black America and church or religion in general. Because as diligently as Black America goes to church and participates in religion the narrative consistently remains the same and the Democratic Party has produced more advancement for Black America than church and religion. So what we are faced with is the paternalistic condescension of proponents of the anti-Democratic Party arguments. As if the Democratic Party is supposed to in and of itself paternalistically know what is best for Black America without demand and push from rank and file organized advocacy engaged in open political action. Secondly, scheming a disassociation of Black America from the Democratic Party ensures the supremacy of the Republican Party and it's reactionary, retrograde, reprobate, misanthropic policies that only entrench racism and bigotry.

What commentators as The Breakfast Club, Sean P. D. Combs should do is immerse in a study of materialist political-economy then subsequently observe and analyze missteps in and failures of American Foreign Policy because insight will be gained and will shed clarity on how we vote and what we vote for.

Abandoning the vote is a non-starter and is beyond stretching the neck on the guillotine.

The Walk of Shame in Baseball, While the Victorious Pitcher Pauses Dismissively

What is worse in sports than the walk of shame back to the dug out after being struck out in Baseball and Softball.  The Character and personality of the pitcher's victim mercilessly revealed in glaring display for Man, Women and Child to observe either with pity or jubilation.

Opponents posterized in Basketball by spectacular plays either ridiculous dunks, blocks or shake and bake, ankle breaking dribbling are not humiliated as the Baseball player's walk of shame to the dug out after the debilitating third strike.

Tackle breaking runs and sensational circus like touchdown catches against against defenses in Football do not humiliate the defense as the singular walk of shame to the dug out with the  displayed of concealed look of stupidity on the victims face.

Neither are adroit dribbling in Soccer, deft puck handling in Hockey, back hand goal scoring flips in Lacrosse and cross court fore hands in Tennis abjectedly demoralizing on the opposition as that solitary naked walk to the dug out of the struck out vanquished hitter in Baseball.

The Boxing knockdown or knockout and submission in Wrestling and mixed Martial Arts contest are not humiliating but rather infuriating technical aspects of a Win.

Nothing in sports is humiliating as the Unitarian construct of the third strike in Baseball and it's walk of shame to the dug out, while Man, Women and Child bear witness to the mortality of the hitter protagonist, while the victorious pitcher pauses dismissively on the mound as a Matador with sword and cape awaiting another turf pawing brutish hitter.

Bill Belichick the orge in a hoodie is wrong by declaring that players are the most important,  Because it's an organic given that to play football there has to be players and if it's at the National Football League level, then those players are the apex atop the football world.

At the National Football League level quality of product distinction meaning success and it's logic is primarily superior scheme and football tactics.  The secondary aspect of chemistry and execution are evolutionary consequences of that same product distinction of success and it's logic.

Bill Belichick the ogre in a hoodie is a tremendously successful NFL coach and extremely adept and adroit with idealistic analysis for the purpose of mocking the important is another example.

So the takeaway is  PeytonManning is great and a Demi-God when defenses are mediocre and cooperate by being patsies.  But as soon as defenses put on gladiatorial and Impi like comprehensive performances the apotheosized Demi-God Peyton Manning comes crashing down to earth as the impetuous Icarus who dared to fly.

This humility, boasting and hubris critique demands this: So it's socially wrong and unacceptable to verbally boast but it's socially mandatory we boast with durable commodity acquisitions i.e. Homes, Cars, brand name things.  But we are social losers if our Women are without a Hermes scarf.

In a world where 85 persons own equaled wealth to 3.5 billion persons, umbrage at and assault on Richard Sherman, a football player boasting because of a job well done reveals psychosis of our human condition and the audacity of it's hypocrisy.

Socio-Political Commentary, Sports Commentators, Analyst, Writers and The Ethnic and Class Bias Prism

Okay! I'm a cynic.  I don't accept the proposition that in an ideology-challenged Political-Economy as we have in the United States.  There can be and exist socio-political commentary and analysis that is not a reflection of the commentators alienation and a result of their suppositionary biases.
For example if 90% of sports commentators, analyst and writers are White and 95% of their subjects and objective of their work are Black.  Why should we ignore the reality that the sum of the work of those sports commentators, analyst and writers as is presented to consumers is through the ethnic and class bias prism, notwithstanding human idealism and it's undisciplined pettiness?

Outrage and Expressions of Tragedy, Young Amateur-Teenage Athletes, Cost Benefit Analysis and Wes Leonard of Fennville High School

There is a pattern. Outrage and angst towards abortion but apathy and contempt for life born and it's development.  Again outrage and expressions of tragedy when young amateur-teenage athletes due to congenital heart defects collapse and die in their field of play.  Yet apathy and the contradictory cost-benefit analysis mock such displays of concern.

On 3/3/11: 16 year old Wes Leonard of Fennville High School, Michigan collapsed and died on the basketball court after sinking the game winning shot.  Again outrage and expressions of tragedy rent the nations psyche upon discovery that Wes Leonard died from an enlarged heart, a congenital defect.

Too many of the nations young amateur-teenage athletes die needlessly from congenital heart defects which because of the obscenity of the misanthropic cost-benefit analysis gambit go unnoticed till the inevitable collapse in the field of play and the resulting schizophrenic like displays of outrage and expressions of tragedy.

 So what is it.  What do we value, saving life, Wes Leonard's by identifying at risk athletes or the displays of outrage and expressions of tragedy?

J.A. Adande, Around The Horn, Michael Vick and The Cold War of American Racism

The Sports Writer, J.A. Adande on ESPN's 2/8/11; Around The Horn, questioned whether Michael Vick, who was charged, convicted, sentenced, imprisoned due to dog fighting charges and released is a good societal example.

So who would the J.A. Adande's of the world rather we held up as good social beings?  Considering the fact an inordinately high percentile of Michael Vick's demographic are consistently tangled up in the idealistic and speculative vindication of American Justice.  Michael Vick, if we are to be practical about humanness and the human condition is the logical consequence to The Cold War of American Racism, resolving the good social being idea.

The case can and should be vigorously made that those scandalous facts objectifying the Tiger Woods sex-scandal are what made him the indomitable winner he was which is the sole arbiter and only basis for Tiger Woods the phenomenon.

This raises an interesting question and incident of The Human Condition.  If the sordid scandalous facts objectifying the Tiger Woods sex-scandal are what enabled the "good" and morally socio-positive aspect of the phenomenal Tiger Woods, the indomitable Golfer, What does it's immoral critique mean?

Helen Thomas, Israel, Native Americans and Palestinian Submission

Helen Thomas, the iconic presence at White House Press briefings, a long standing member of the White House Press Corps.  Recently made off the cuff remarks concerning Israel.  Specifically that Israel-European occupiers of occupied Palestine should return to their homelands, Poland, Germany, United States, e.c.t

Naturally her critics and apologist for Israel and it's occupation of Palestine want Helen Thomas head.  My point is this: If Helen Thomas, an 89 year old member of American main stream society and a disseminator of it's historical narrative can break ranks with it's theology, particularly the blind see no evil support for Israel and viscerally denounce the mythology of Israel's right to exist on occupied Palestine what sort of future is Israel and it's apologist anticipating?

What is it a race to the Apocalypse and it's delusions?  Because it is clear that unless the Zionist imperative exterminates the Palestinian people, Palestinian submission does not seem to be on the horizon.

Helen Thomas is not the problem.  The problem is the idealistic expectation and romantic fancy by Israel and it's apologist that what European invaders and colonizers managed to do to Native Americans and Black people during the 17th century through the present, Israel and the Zionist imperative can do to the Palestinian people.

The Politics of Asterisk and Steroids in Sports

So the Saint Louis Cardinals Home Run meister Mark McGwire, a poster child for the politics of asterisk in sports but on the other hand purportedly representing the innocence and innocence lost of the heartland and it's Gothic.  Has flagellated himself before the nation and hubris of the likes of USA Today's Christine Brennan, the self-assumed gate keeper of ethics and morality in sports with the confessional spectacle, that he partook of sports forbidden fruits, steroids and human growth hormone.

The question of performance enhancement which is the pedestrian criticism against steroids and it's class of chemistry.  Fits perfectly with that least and base level of intellectual activity, where we find likes of War on Drugs, War on Poverty, War on Crimes and mother of all, War on Terrorism.  With the fact, the performance enhancement charge and criticism which apoplectically is only reserved for steroids and it's critical convenience on the socio-periodic table of selective criticism is at home with a sort of revisionary resentment and jealousy, where responses and reactions have nothing to do with the original agitating cause.

The steroid question is firstly and purely a political one.  A relic of the Cold War Era.  When the U.S. in the flailing throes of defeat after another at the hands of the Warsaw Pact and it's superior chemist who knew how to transform East German Frauleins into superbeings worthy of Third Reich Lore, decried it's use.  But whatever the motive-merits of it's proscription, the critique performance enhancement has lapsed into an absurd quixotic comedy.

Can there be competition when it's qualification isn't similarities but dissimilarities, which is what the steroid debate ask of us.  For example if it is proven that biologically, Usain Bolt, Lance Armstrong to name a few are physiological freaks shouldn't their accomplishments succumb to the politics of asterisk?  Why not, they are biologically unfairly advanced, yet we laud their triumphs.

The question is would the original Greek Olympic athlete and those historical Warrior-Athletes of humanities diverse tribes and nations had found affinity with whatever performance enhancement edge chemistry, steroids provided?

Pahokee, Florida, Condescension, The Pahokee Athelectic Phenomena and The Black American Experience

Pahokee, Florida has been the gridirons best kept secret as I wrote on March 24, 2008; in the post titled "Rabbits and the Secret of Pahokee, Florida".  But it is also tragically and ironically exploited in a senselessly condescending manner as epitomized by the Tennessee Volunteers coach Lane Kiffin in his now infamous diatribe...."For those of you who haven't been to Pahokee, there ain't much going on"..."There ain't a gas station that works, nobodys got enough money to even have shoes or a shirt on". [unquote] Even though Lane Kiffin opportunistically and conveniently apologized for his elitist gibberish, it still objectively sums up the condescension.

Naturally and within the normal dynamic of sports, human psychology and the wealth acquisitive incentive and as befits the present level of what is acceptable socio-normal facts of existence, the Pahokee contradiction and it's tragic antagonism is nihilistically accepted.

No one disputes the exceptional, par excellence quality of The Pahokee Athlete and the football players unique tradition of Chasing Rabbits in it's Sugar Cane Fields produces.  Pahokee's sons who have made it to the stratosphere of professional football, the NFL are legend. FBS (NCAA Football) coaches trip over each other in that obscene ritual of collegiate sports American and it's siren-like courtship of the unprivileged, marginalized underbelly class, as they sell dreams to the Pahokee athlete.

The Pahokee Athletic Phenomena has had and still has the potential to fuse the Value Speculative motive of American capitalism in a Political-Economic reality, that refines the logic and it's contemporary amateurish exploitation with a redemptive impetus of sports and the athletic perfection in itself and for itself.  Also within the dynamic of the Black American Experience and it's self-determinative realities and anticipations.

Hypocrisy, Stephen A. Smith and Tiger Woods

What hypocrisy exactly is the sports shock jock Stephen A. Smith relative to the Tiger Woods adulterous spectacle ranting about that the American people will not put up with or forgive?

Is it the hypocrisy of a U.S. Constitution that reads and codifies that Black People are "Three Fifths Persons" and to date, despite the Civil War, despite the Fourteenth Amendment, U.S. Presidency of a Black Barack Obama, still reads unchanged, unrevised that Black People are "Three Fifths Persons"?

Is it the hypocrisy of multi-national corporations having moral-clauses in endorsement and sponsorship contracts when the behavior and general practices of the multi-national entities if not specifically misanthropic is generally a crude vulgar exploitation of ends and means?

Is it the hypocrisy of a Stephen A. Smith's pronouncement on the Tiger Woods spectacle at the expense of the salient point that the nations pastime is hypocrisy.  A hypocrisy fueled by the opportunity of an infinitude of motives, which in the Tiger Woods case is money, money, money.  But then again isn't Value and it's money medium the facilitator of the Human Condition?
