Dr Nicholas Christakis and James Fowler: Intellectualizing happiness and the antebellum critique

It is a leap to compare the nature of catching a cold with the phenomena of obesity. But an article by Alice Park in the 12/22/08; Time Magazine based on a work by Dr. Nicholas Christakis and James Fowler published in the British Medical Journal does exactly that.

Analysis and critical thought or the dialectical method has always recognized the dynamic of the detail and for lack of or it's presence has in one form or the other been a cornucopia or bane of the human condition and it's Political-Economy.

Dr. Nicholas Christakis and James Fowler premise the supposition that if infectious pathogens are a social virial then human emotion, lets say happiness should not also be infectious but it is infectious.

This puts me in the mind of the antebellum critique' where carpet beggar Northerners were blamed for Southern Black militancy. As if the oppressed needed paternalism to objectify the condition.

Historically idealism's knock has simply been, it's intellectualism for it's sake. This labor by the aforementioned authors is victim of intellectualism's at the expense of the dialectical truth that there really is an object and subject.

Howard Dean and "The Scream" has been Vindicated

Still Howard Dean had one last hurrah, the 2008 Presidential election and it's historical conclusion.

Lynn Swann Republican, Collaborator and Organic-Empiricism

On 10/22/08; Lynn Swann, the former Football player and one time Republican candidate for Governor of Pennsylvania, was trotted out on the Lou Dobbs show for the specific purpose of dismissing Colin Powell's criticism of the Republican party, John McCain and Sarah Palin during Powell's endorsement of Barack Obama.

It wasn't surprising to see Lynn Swann play that historical role of collaborator, that easy way out of embracing the status quo narrative at the expense of annihilating the suppositions of reaction.

Colin Powell's analysis and critique of Republican political practice as exemplified by the Palin-idiocy of God, Guns, Family and the backwardness of Urban, Rural antagonism's was positive. Instead of Lynn Swan invoking and resurrecting positive Republican analysis, the party of Fredrick Douglas. He perpetuated the very zeitgeist that kept him from triumph in 2006.

Is it any wonder contemporary Republican politics runs counter to the organic-empiricism of American-Political Economy?

Bernard Madoff, The Ponzi Spin and Money Laundering

The naive are buying this Ponzi scheme spin on the Bernard Madoff swindle.

Isn't money laundering a more credible explanation? The public is being asked to accept that Bernard Madoff ran a decades long Ponzi-Pyramid scheme analog type scam which has resulted in the $50 Billion swindle of all sorts of investors.

It is just incredibly far fetched that the short term scope of the Ponzi type scheme could sustain the long lasting structure necessary to swindle $50 Billion from investors with varied imperatives.

What is realistic is Bernard Madoff was operating a money laundering scheme, rehabilitating capital and enabling its viability at a certain strata of society.

This Bernard Madoff Ponzi spin is a diversion.

Bob Corker's grandstanding on the question of bail out for the big 3 auto makers is down right pathetic.

The State of Tennessee has one million people receiving food stamps. The city of Chattanooga has a high unemployment rate. Both state and city exhibit the full antagonistic range of Bob Corker's delusions.

What is unique and disturbing about the Scrafano case and indictment is David Scrafano was initially charged with 400 counts of child molestation!! But he was convicted on one count!!

Clayton County, Georgia, A Slave Cemetary and Moral Revision

Notwithstanding the controversial decision by Clayton County, Georgia public officials to remove remains of Black Slaves from the present cemetery to another one, clearing way for a land-fill.

There is a primary question of responsibility to heritage. The present slave cemetery point of the Clayton County controversy has not been cared for. It is overgrown with weeds, brush and trash strewn. Headstones are weathered and uncared for. It is an extreme feat and moral revision to make the contradictory and hypocritical argument, that corrupt, corporate lackeys in Clayton County's government in the pay of the landfill company have denied the humanness of Black Slaves buried on the grounds of a proposed landfill by ruling in it's favor. When Black Heritage in Clayton County hasn't seen fit to care for and protect the slave cemetery.

The Catholic Church, Catholicism, Abortion and Barack Obama

Besides railing against abortion, despite it being a legitimate but criticized social fact. What exactly has the Catholic Church and Catholicism actually done in advancing the human condition scientifically?

Lately reactionary comments harking to attitudes and fraudulent certainties of the infamous Spanish Inquisition has been the recourse of certain elements within the Catholic church in response to Barack Obama winning the U.S. Presidency.

Certain Catholic elements, A Cardinal, Bishop and Priests have called the election of President-Elect Barack Obama an "Apocalyptic event", "Evil" and parishioners who voted for Barack Obama must confess it as a sin because of Obama's view that abortion is a parents choice and a legal question.

I think it is a good idea that the Catholic Church is jumping into the Political-Economy arena with it's thinly veiled theocratic presumptions over the abortion question. This now allows Catholicism to experience ideological struggle specifically as progress of objective facts without the obfuscation of the theological faith basis.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Plaxico Burress Deviance and the Status Quo Narrative

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg opening ...

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomburg has jumped in head first into The Plaxico Burress Shooting incident. With his sanctimonious pronouncements of the full weight of the law coming down on Plaxico Burress, the New York Giants wide receiver who during the Thanksgiving weekend allegedly shot himself in the leg.

There is this amnesiac streak of the status quo narrative in American society when it concerns Black behavior and the Burress incident again exposes it's racist underbelly.

I have one response: It is time every single American life, from post puberty is subjected to microscopic scrutiny and the full weight of Bloomburgian "law" brought to bear. Because this hypocrisy of selective ire and persecution of social deviance by Black citizens at the audacious expense of white collar and corporate crime, the deviance by American Political-Economy elities and it's consequential travesty of "Governmental Bail-Outs", requires a materialist narrative.

Much has been made of Al Zawahiri's, Al Qaeda's purported number two, recent "House Negro" snide at Barack Obama. Corporate media's take is Al Qaeda is discrediting Barack Obama as being that classic collaborator. The bane of Black resistance, a House Negro.
The fact of the matter is Al Qaeda's alleged snide at Barack Obama on the contrary, enables Obama to defacto continue the status quo narrative against Al Qaeda.
Al Zawahiri's Obama criticism, just as criticism from certain Black nationalist during candidate Barack Obama's campaign allowed Obama to have his Sister Souljah moment---serves one and only one purpose. It allows non-revolutionary politics to use revolutionary narrative at it's expense.

Distortions, Contradictions, and Antagonisms: Political-Economy and Private Jets

Has it only taken 232 odd years of distortions, contadictions and antagonisms for the reality of revolution to be lost on the American mind?

Listening to resentment and gripes, swirling as legitimate debate surrounding the antangonistic definitions of govermental bail-outs as economic polity. The question is : is it lost on the status-quo narrarive that Revolutions are the result of distortions run amuck, contraditions unresolved and unpacified antagonisms?

This state of Political-Economy affairs is an affont , an insult, a ridiculous kowtow to mediocrity!

Unions being blamed for capital being hoarded?

Whether or not CEO's flew on private jets as points of Politica-Economy analysis?

And the audacity of Congressmen, grandstanding, criticizing the auto industry for mismanagement at the expense of their very own govermental-oversight incompetence, the default and criminal malfeasance.

Outliers By Malcolm Gladwell: A Review

Whether it is an aphorism, adage or maxim, the phrase "The devil is in the details" anticipated Malcolm Gladwell's new book Outliers. But as such things go Malcolm Gladwell's labor in Outliers is another addition to the ubiquitous exercise of preaching to the choir.

Outliers is the classic eureka or light bulb moment made public, a nerdish reflection on the human condition as if after millennia of human empiricism, critical-thought has now matured and it's face is Malcolm Gladwell with it's expression the book Outliers.

Outliers postulates, human success is a result of ones environmental situation. To quote Gladwell..."It is only by asking where they are from that we can unravel the logic behind who succeeds and who doesn't" [Outliers]

Didn't Hillary Clinton premise her ideological struggle with the Phillistines of the Republican Party on "It takes a village to raise a child"? So where has Malcolm Gladwell been hasn't Materialism, dialectical historical materialism already accounted for this intellectualism Outliers presents?

It takes an extraordinary display of arrogance, a presumption of sorts that subjective discovery accounts for existential-dialectics and with Outliers, Malcolm Gladwell is at home with, I think therefore I am.

Sarah Palin has not energized those who now express affinity for a John McCain Presidency. Instead Sarah Palin has simply been the excuse, the legitimizing justification for reaction and it's backwardness.

Evangelical Christianity and it's resentment expression requires misery and it's sham moral critique. In other words the Evangelical Christian expression needs the political gullibility medium to satisfy it's neurotic pinings and that is why Republicans have found success and it hasn't just been at the expense of Democratic hypocrisy.

A Pit Bull with Lip Stick, Sarah Palin and the Politics of Being A Bitch

What sort of woman compares herself to an animal, a pit bull with lipstick, a dog. So assuming the dog must be female and a female dog is a Bitch. It then means Sarah Palin prides on being the Bitch practicing it's politics.

If Sarah Palin is to be Vice-President of the United States an achievement of American femininity. Then it's down right reckless and repulsive to all Mothers, wives, Sisters and Daughters that a self -described Bitch Pit Bull is exploiting Hillary's eighteen million cracks.

The Civil War Narrative, Base Politics and John McCain Pimping Paris Hilton

Why hasn't the Daughters of the Confederacy and all those groups, historical societies and intelligentsia who are the gate keepers of the Civil War narrative come out in opposition to the applied blasphemy and derision of this political season, Presidential politics and it's mockery of the relative sacrifices exerted to realize a perfected union.

Reaction, Radical Politics, Base Politics and the Scranton, Pennsylvania gambit not surprisingly is the opportunity of the moment.

Observing Barack Obama, the Embody of the Black Experience walk the tight rope and it's restraint and demands of the better man taking the higher ground with the contrast of the presumptuous John McCain pimping Paris Hilton, Brittany Spears, Cindy McCain and Sarah Palin as means to the Presidency. Mocking the Hallowed earth of Gettysburg and the desperation of Harper's Ferry.

Flint, Michigan and David Dicks "Immoral Self-Expression"

Flint, Michigan is an industrial wasteland. A graveyard slotted with exclamatory tombstones and headstones proclaiming the demise of analog, steel and fire industry. to talk about Flint, Michigan is to note a dreg of 19th century industry, a footnote in Proletarian paradox.

In light of all this, certain brains and minds have found the space and margins to focus on legislating attire in Flint. So with the dead-end reality of it's denizens a stark violent fact. David Dicks, Flint Michigan Police Chief is chomping at something his newt brain has slithered upon "Immoral self-expression". Which as usually is the case, a diversion at the expense of the real immorality, an economy totally unable to function and provide it's citizens political economic direction.

Mothers with babies is diapers run risk of 93 days to a year in a Flint jail and fines up to $500 because if underwear is seen in Flint, Michigan the dress code goose steppers will declare it "Immoral self-expression".

The Black Experience and the Barack Obama Candidacy

Whose critique and analysis of the Black Experience and condition is credible hence legitimate to coalesce the dynamo of action? That general acceptance of an analysis for it's most basic points to trickle down to the rudimentary comprehension and acceptance of it's members---Whose?

Is it the metaphysical mumblings of the millennialist zealot?

Is it the faddist radical?

Has the Barack Obama candidacy satisfied this?

I find that once again as such is always the case with life attempting an exponent of potential. We stand again at the crossroads. Being buffeted into immobility by the cross winds of reaction.

What is the mechanism for accountability in the Independent Vote abstraction within Presidential Politics?

Without ideology and political unity the Independent Vote is crass infantile antic, a naive gimmick as therapeutic vent for the latent racism of Reagan Democrats.

Democrats and Republicans are incentive challenged to respond to the inherent contradiction of the Independent Vote as an objective mechanism of accountability.

Instead contrary to the fraudulent advocacy by Lou Dobbs the Independent Vote reinforces conservatism as mere reactionary wedge.

Human Political Economy and Criminal Deviancy

If the panoramic development of human political economy is stimulated by strategic factors of what in principle , in deed and with all regard is criminal and morally deviant, then why shouldn't instances of crime in it's petty mundane expression as it is experienced at the national-social level also stimulate the progress of political economy?

Propaganda of social behavior repetitiously detonates the fiat, that economical crime is destructive upon society. Charts are presented showing how deviancy deprives society of "X" amounts of wealth.

But the fact of the matter is the destructiveness of deviancy has an economical impact on society that is positive in it's stimulation and accentuation of progressive development. Deviancy during times of peace is like unto the economic quickening of War in the times of strife.

Take for instance the United States, deviance quantumly and qualitatively has enhanced and tremendously developed it's political economy. From the crimes against humanity of slavery and the moral crimes of it's Colonizer pioneer-settlers upon the Native Americans, to the relative contemporary lawlessness of it's deprived and marginalized elements. The U.S. and it's manifest destiny has clearly reaped the rewards of it's incipient and inherent criminality a million times over.

If the standard of living of a society and it's foundational prosperity equals it's realized economic potential. Meaning the accumulative potential, and it's realizational means, then any factor which induces and stimulates it's progressive development, has to be of benefit and for the greater good of society as a whole.

Crime, deviance and the entire relative structure it effects supports in extension the formative and substantial existence of human political economy in it's particular and general sense.

This post and it's position it defends is not to be construed as an apology for malaise of Crime and Deviancy. This position is simply a rigor in contra with those hypocritical opportunistic-ravings purportedly in defense of human innocence.

A rigorous and stern critique' of human society and culture will reveal that deviancy in it's complexities and the raw sophistication of crime is an unmistakable fact of the more developed and advanced political economics of the World and that is not an inexplicable anomaly but simply the derived symbiosis of the political economy in question.

The Democracy Dialectic, China and Value Speculation

The Communist Party of China in it's Deng Xiaoping revisionist milieu does have a contribution to the Democracy dialectic.

Mao Zedong once declared let a 1000 flowers bloom which is Mao Zedong thought speak for diversity of speech, thought and dialectical synthesis with caveat that it is philosophically materialist. Deng Xiaoping's revision once postulated, opening the window to let in air also lets in flies as parameter of democracy dialectic.

This question of China Democracy and the "Human Rights" polemics as it is raised in the Abu Ghraib, Gitmo, The Global War on Terror and the Iraq War contradiction tableau---should be easy for the Deng Xiaoping revisionist practice to respond to and it is simple. Whatever speech practiced should not be that opiate indulgence of reinventing the wheel, value speculation employs as it's classic diversionary tactic.

Reinventing the wheel philosphically is simple. It is that ubiquitous practice of resurrecting discredited and idealistic thought as a coping mechanism, a distortion of the economy of humanness. Which is commonly touted as free speech in the value speculation dialectic.

Political-Economy, Accountability and "Creative Capitalism"

There is this idea being pushed by Billionaires and Millionaires, " Creative Capitalism".

Political Economy polemics has been strange in a way whether it's materialist dialectical critique or the business as usual of relative speculative-value. Because without an objective mechanism for accountability that is divorced from the class and privilege exemption what does Political-Economy as conceptual structure mean.

Secondly. If social recognizable facts through the governmental medium acknowledges the need for philanthropic and charitable services by religious based entities. Why then isn't it appropriate for government which if we are to take American Political-Economy on it's conceptual value means "We the People..." to take on those functions?

Few outside the immediate Baltimore area have heard of The Violence Intervention Program(V.I.P.).

Not many people outside the medical community especially Trauma-Surgery have heard of

Dr. Carnell Cooper. A Black, Baltimore, Maryland Surgeon. Who after 19 years as a Trauma-Surgeon, saving violently injured young Black people realized his Trauma-Surgery expertise was being used at the end result and consequences of certain negative colliding determinants.

Dr.Carnell Cooper started The Violence Intervention Program which specifically focuses of the issue of how to merge and fuse young Black people with Jobs because Dr. Cooper correctly understands that the question of Black violence is a Political-Economic one.
It has been historically expedient and insidious to critique Black social an criminal deviancy simply on the social-value construct at the expense of a political-economic base that enables the progressive evolution of social-values to even come into existence.

Dr Carnell Cooper's Violence Intervention Program and it's focus on Jobs attempts to correct that.

CNN, Essence Magazine, The Black Experience and the Solution of If

On 7/19/o8; CNN aired a quasi symposia or discussion organized by it's media group sister publication Essence Magazine. It was titled "Reclaiming The Dream", a reference to Martin Luther King Jr.

It was hosted by CNN's Soledad O'brien and the panel was an attempt at cross sampling Black Intelligentsia. Cornel West, Professor at Princeton, Sheryl Lee Ralph, actor cum Aids activist, T.D. Jakes, Preacher, Julianne Malveaux, President Bennet College, Tom Joyner, Radio Personality, Ed Gordon, Journalist, Hill Harper, Actor cum Writer, Roland Fryer, Economist Harvard, and Jabali Sawicki, Principal Excellence Charter School.

The subject matter was the Black Experience. An attempt was made to focus and isolate solutions to questions on Gender Relations and Marriage, Intermediate Education and the Aids Disease as a social and health issue.

All sorts of words filled the ninety minuets of the show airing, of course minus commercial time and not once was job creation discussed.

But the question is and will always be Jobs, Jobs, Jobs, Jobs, and more Jobs.

If every single Black Child graduated from College, If every single Black Man and Woman married and affiliated their self with religion. If every Black Man, Women and Child seeked employment and for the children summer job's---can American Political-Economy provide universal employment?

If the question of job creation isn't seen as the fundamental motive it should be---If there is always this fraudulent exercise of intellect.

If rote-education, religion and marriage are the cure-all then why hasn't the millions of Black university graduates, the millions of Black religious adherents and the millions of married Black couples been able to stabilize, nurture and lead Black Political-Economy in that viable direction where social and criminal deviancy is nothing more than an irrelevant anomaly?

But despite the millions of educated, religious and married Black people when that marginalized reality of the Black Experience sneezes the Black community as a whole catches a cold and CNN makes more money selling commercial time, hosting another panel of the well-fed who naively ignore the Political-Economy dearth causality, as they labor propping up If as reality.

Dissidents, Informants, Traitors and Politics

With Daily revelations out of Eastern Europe and Russia, of former dissidents who played central roles in the much claimed transition from state capitalism to private speculation. Being state informants of the various Communist Parties and State Security apparatus.

It then frames the question how much of the so-called dissolution of the Warsaw Pact and Eastern European politics has been merely tactical?

What does it then mean for informants and traitors to assume leadership roles in pluralistic parliamentary politics and its political-economy?

For example the Former Polish leader Lech Walesa is claimed by the recent book, "The Security Service and Lech Walesa", to have been an informant for Poland's Communist Party during it's rule in the 1970's and 1980's. Yet he was the face of The Solidarity Movement and it's dissident politics and subsequently became Poland's President. Lech Walesa has long since denied these claims.

The Cold War, Botox and CNN: At least Neanderthals had an Excuse

Does any one remember Nadia Comaneci and Mark Spitz? Two Olympic athletes from the Cold War Era when Botox wasn't something vain crazies puffed their faces up with. But it was something humorless men and women, drones for ideology tinkered with behind blast proof doors, in places germ war thriller fiction writers imagined. When it was Botulism.

What then does the corporate media giant CNN have to do with this? Well it seems nothing is more newsworthy than the fact Nadia Comaneci and Mark Spitz are shrills and peddlers for Botox and CNN reasoned it would justify it's bottom-line quest with, considering the success of the "make-over" phenomena, an infomercial disguised as news.

So on 7/16/08; on it's head-lining morning news was CNN's Alina Cho, concluding her report with (and I'm paraphrasing) What troubles critics is a lot of athletes will see how much money can be made plugging Botox and all sorts of Cold War unmentionables and I guess the Vandals will be at the gates!

What is the Black Father and The Black Experience

Jesse Jackson
Cover of Jesse Jackson
Okay so Barack Obama is being critical of parenting in the Black community. Jesse Jackson whispered his intention of castrating Obama to a bewildered face on of all places Bill O'Reily at Fox News Studios. Because in Jackson's view Barack Obama is talking down to Black People. Eric Dyson an ardent Obama supporter apologizes then criticizes Obama's formulation and presentation of a fact, everyone agrees is material and objective.

Eric Dyson's position is , criticism, of what is the Black father in U.S. political-economy is first and foremost that of a status-quo distortion. Because certain studies show that Black fathers are as much involved in the lives of their children, despite the fact it is not universal total involvement because the fathers are not with the mothers, it is still involvement and as such it's critique hints at another motive.

Jesse Jackson's position is Barack Obama's critique is demagoguery and it doesn't expand and effectively lay bare the issue in the context of the effects of U.S. political-economy on the question, What is the Black Father.

The question What is the Black Father automatically anticipates What is the Black Mother.

How was this question formulated during the philosophizing period of Black American self-determination? What was the context of it's impact as it contended with that one and only underlying basis of it's existence, that of historical and specific American injustice?

It is relatively an idealist exercise to statically criticize dynamic elements. Specifically whether it's the idealism of Barack Obama, the reaction of Jesse Jackson and the apologetic-intellectualism of Eric Dyson.

Jesse Jackson's Operation Push hasn't presented the question and it's antagonistic element to the fore of U.S. political-economy, contrary to Jackson's assumptions.

Eric Dyson's writings has simply been preaching to the choir.

So besides the leveraged pabulum spoon fed the Black Condition by minds and hearts that seek manna from skies that can only reflect the steel, glass and concrete of it's contradictions.

What exactly is critique for it's own sake? Where is the formulation and it's organic intent to resolve the What is the Black Father question and the Black experience in U.S. political-economy?

NuJood Ali, The Ten Year Old Girl who Stood Up to Child Sexual Abuse in Yemen

What is it with Yemen? Are adult females in Yemen that small of stature and stunted in physical development that a ten year old girl, a child, can pass as an adult and is an adequate representation of Yemeni feminine maturity?

A ten year old Yemen girl NuJood Ali was sold for marriage by her family to a thirty something Yemeni man and according to their tradition and culture it was appropriate.
This ten year old girl NuJood Ali was unlike the average Yemeni child. NuJood Ali correctly understood her predicament as child sexual abuse and despite the weight of Yemen tradition and culture rebelled.

NuJood Ali proactively went to the Court House and presented her case to a Judge. On the grounds, her thirty year old so-called husband , beat her, assaulted her and raped her.
The Judge ruled in her favor, annulled the "Marriage" and required ten year old NuJood Ali pay alimony of $200!!!!!!

The relief agency OXFAM claims the majority of Yemen brides are under 18.
Ten year old NuJood stood up to child sexual abuse. Now Yemeni adults have to stand up with her, redirect their Political-Economy and abandon child molestation as Marriage and tradition is not an excuse.

The $700 Billion Hoodwink, A Tactic for Big Oil

Lately a phrase has been falling from the lips of corporate media parrots, the mind numbing of so-called pundits. The phrase is $700 billion is sent to oil producing nations and it is the greatest transfer of wealth the human condition has ever witnessed. The point, with exception to a few others, is the rapacious Big Oil Companies should be allowed to have their way extracting oil from places opposing analysis say will be harmful to the human condition.

I want to focus on this $700 Billion transfer of paper money idea as having this dire negative consequence. First of all $70 Billion sent by the United States to oil producing nations simply means American industry recoups it and American productivity expands.

Lets take Dubai an oil producing nation and it's hell bent policy of playing with glass and steel. Every single dollar of Dubai oil revenue spent on it's glass and steel infatuation is returned to the United States and other Western industrialized nations, to do what? Buy the necessary technology and know how to erect it's Sky Scrapers.

This simply means companies as Caterpillar in the U.S., Komatsu in Japan and many others are able to keep their production lines churning heavy equipment for Dubai. Meaning job creation and national productivity stability.

Big Oil Companies will stop at nothing in this war for the hearts and minds and any and all skew of political-economy is fair tactic.

John McCain, Taxes and the Super Rich: "Straight Talk" in Plunder and Looting

John McCain's argument for continuing George W. Bush extreme tax cuts for the super rich is down right obscene.

If the Bush Administration's economic policy and it's tax cuts for the super rich as supported by John McCain has brought the Nation to this speculators orgy in the oil and real estate industry with it's rat abandoning ship consequences.

If the Bush Economic Policy which stands for the super rich hardly paying any taxes. Has presided over bridges tumbling, crumbling and pot holed roads. Entire cities swamped and flooded and the stand alone, in a class by itself violation of New Orleans because of organizational incompetence, infrastructural neglect and the infamous "Brownie you're doing a heck of a job".

If a primary argument for the rich not paying taxes as supported by John McCain: A less taxed rich is dynamo for job creation. Then why has the outsourcing of a substantial type of American productivity grown exponentially with the rich enjoying tax cuts?

Then what is John McCain saying? That the plunder and looting under George Bush and tax cuts for the super rich hasn't been completed so he is running a Bush third term to complete it?

Jesus Christ, Mark Twain and the Moral Revision of Steven L. Carter

What exactly would happen were the much idealized by Western Civilization, Jesus Christ, the Son of Man to storm into the New York Stock Exchange and re-create the assault on the New Testament's Temple money changers with another whipping and beating of contemporary speculators? There would naturally be another Crucifixion re-creation.

Fast forward to this moral revisionary excuse of Mark Twain's racism by the Yale Professor of Law. Stephen L. Carter in the 7/14/08; time Magazine. Every time the failings and shortcomings of accomplished human beings are explained either in diminishing posture as Mark Twain's racism or the exaggerations of those history revilies. Contemporary sensibilities and the human condition as a totality is defined fraudulently.

In a preparatory essay for the Obama Presidency. Stephen L. Carter on Mark Twain on the issue of race wrote:

"Twain's racial pitch was not perfect. One is left uneasy, for example, by the lengthy passage in his autobiography about how much he loved what were
called "Nigger Shows" in his youth..."

Carter goes on to pose this question:

Was Twain a racist?... If we read the words and attitudes of the past through the pompous "wisdom" of considered moral judgements of the present, we will find othing but error.

First of all the only error to be found is Stephen L. Carter's pathetic mental cowardice. The oppositionary root to American racism of Mark Twain's period is the contemporary reality of racist and racism being anathema. Carter's "pompous "wisdom" of the present," has nothing to do with historical racism of Mark Twain nor does excuse or mitigate it.

The human condition would be better served with dialectical facts which simply state: A Mark Twain could be a racist and schizophrenic-like, critically satirize it's hypocrisy.

If as Stephen L. Carter proposes that the specific backwardness of racism is a mere relative sensibility. Then religious fundamentalism of all stripes should be given no quarter and ridiculed as mere idealistic exercise devoid and divorced from the objectivity of Carter's "pompous wisdom".

Alhurra Television America's medium of superficiality into Middle Eastern propaganda is a $500 million strategic failure. Still it's a talking point for neo-conservative choir, who harbor delusions of empire by military action.

In response to criticism the Bush Commander-in-Chief governance motive authorized the creation of Alhurra Television to combat what is naively thought as the Middle Eastern and Islamic question formulated in purely public relation terms.

So $500 million produced an hour of focus on blue jeans, that Pax Americana staple. $500 million showcases the 2008 election with naturally extra emphasis on Barack Obama. Hurricane Katrina, The Barack Obama Candidacy and the Million March

Not only did the Hurricane Katrina disaster show governmental injustice but it also revealed the organizational mess of the Black-American center and it's political reality.

Back in the early 1990's Louis Farrakhan of the Nation of Islam led a march of one Million Black Men on Washington D.C. to listen to Thesis on the Masonic and Illuminati Foundation of the United States. The Million Man March begot a Million Women March, all Black assembly, where Winnie Mandela was a keynote speaker. Then the Million Family March followed in New York. The symbolic point that political maturity is the result of an economic foundation, so organize

Then came Katrina and it's devastation and the raw images of that vein of Black American History, once again victimization.

Fast forward to the Barack Obama Presidential Candidacy and it's organizational adroity to amass money and it's lesson as it applies to the Katrina reality. Once again organize! With approximately 1.5 million contributors, the Obama candidacy is well on the path to a $500 million precedent.

The Lesson of the Barack Obama candidacy is : Those symbols of a Million Black Men, Women and family could each have donated a $100 to something with the objective name as "Reconstructive Fund for Black New Orleans and the Lower Ninth Ward" and just as easily accumulated a half-billion dollar fund for Black Self-Determination.

Why the specificity of Black New Orleans? Because specifically Black New Orleans suffered and bore the profane and psychic injustice of the Katrina consequence.

Hymen Reconstruction and Feminine Freedoms

Maybe the jaded and eclectic American Woman who isn't caught up in the abstraction of tradition, doesn't even know what a hymen is to worry about it's consequence on her marriage. That isn't to mean it's concurrent alienation isn't creeping up and impacting the quality and definition of Feminine Freedom.

Certain contradictions of the human condition glare the most than at the intersection of Feminine Freedoms and sexuality. Mental ignorance and emotional ignorance quickly assert itself when the issue is gender relations.

Historically Femininity has been bound to the chaste ideal and all its presumptions. So it isn't surprising that Hymen-Management is another anti-Feminine reality.

It's a well developed fact that Arabicized-Muslim traditions is brutal on Women and Femininity. So it isn't surprising that Arabicized-Muslim Women are caught in the traditional consequence of hymen-integrity.

Imagine a young Women putting on the marriage planner "to do list", "see Surgeon for Hymen reconstruction".

Treason and the WNBA: Anne Donovan's attack on Becky Hammond

When the United States kept on losing to the Soviet Union at International and Olympic Basketball. It responded with redefining eligibility for Olympic athletes and the "Dream Team" was born. Which simply meant multi-million dollar earning professional Basketball players made a mockery of the amateur ethos of the Olympic Games. By the way, this also mocked the arbitrary sanctions against Jim Thorpe, one of the worlds greatest athletes. But then Jim Thorpe's experience had more to do with the prejudice of being Native American.
So it's downright interesting listening to Anne Donovan's of U.S. Olympic Basketball attack and characterization of Becky Hammond's decision to represent Russia at the 2008 Beijing Olympics with Becky Hammond is a traitor , unpatriotic and mercenary.
Becky Hammond a U.S. citizen is a WNBA ( Women's National Basketball Association ) All Star Player. She was left off the U.S. Olympic Basketball team. Russia where she makes $2 million playing during WNBA off-season offered her money and lots of it, to play on the Russian Olympic team and she accepted.
Russia is simply redefining Olympic participation as it furthers it's interest. Becky Hammond's action is simple. The Olympic experience and Russian money is too powerful an incentive.
Is this treason and the WNBA? Anne Donovan's attack on Becky Hammond is just another example of contextual fraud.

Al Qaeda and Evangelicals, Sex and Fear in uncertain and threatening times

What has Al Qaeda begat? Frolicking Evangelicals in the bedroom under the post bed banner of Genesis 2:24..."And they shall be one flesh."

The latest front in American Christianity's battle with Militant Islam is the bedroom. Where parishioners are enthusiastically urged by Pastors and Preachers to use Song Of Solomon 2:3 as guide for oral sex and The New Direction Christian Church, "40 nights of Grrreat Sex" program and it's daily planners with plums like Tuesday: Quickie in any room besides the bedroom. Are among a number of other Evangelical Christian sex instructors.

The new Direction Christian Church of Memphis , Tennessee, The relevant Church of Tampa, Florida and Evangelical-Fundamentalist authors as Tim LaHaye of the best selling Apocalyptic series "Left Behind", are the vanguard elements exhibiting the classic response of Sex as recourse in uncertain and threatening times.

The Boomer Generation lest we forget was the direct result of the uncertainty and threat from Hitler and Nazism, which spilled over into the Cold War with the Soviet Union.

Despite the biblical quotations as exhortations and the Dr. Phil like one-dimensional psychology in LaHaye's , "How to be Happy Through Marriage" book. Evangelical Christians are feeling pretty besieged these days. From their nightmarish honeymoon with George W. Bush and his absurd expedition in Babylonia, unable to tame and bring to heel the whore of war. To the triumph of Gays parading down California streets, marriage License in hand, a mortal blow to 40 years of conservative dictatorial aspiration.

Is it then any surprise that sex is their only refuge, a tether to convention from the fear of an Al Qaeda sought after caliphate.

Food, Politics and Carol Joynt: The Need to Know is Always on the Menu

What Carol Joynt of Nathan's Cafe at Georgetown, Washington, D.C. is doing should be seriously replicated across the nation. Maybe not in form but in principle. In order for Government to be accountable people must be in proximity to facts as organically as possible. A priori the need to know.

Holding a question and answer session with upper echelon Government functionaries and policy makers, at a restaurant, while patrons sup is practical. Considering the primary culprit of Governmental apathy is disillusioned constituents who impotently opt out of paying attention, thereby leaving governance and it's apparatus to the preaching to the choir practice of base politics.

Lev Grossman's Decadent Posture; Panic and the De-Humanizing Motive

Lev Grossman in his 6/23/08; Time Magazine review of the book "Say You're One of them" by Uwem Akpan. A Nigerian Priest concluded with:

"You could read it, but why? Kiss your family, enjoy a hot shower and donate the price of a hardcover book to charity instead."
The book is a horrific composition of narratives by children written by an African Priest speaking African things.
Lev Groomsman's conclusion is decadent posture. To view the human condition as he does with the elite-centric notion that horrific brutality in it's African form is anymore nasty and beyond the pale, that a cheap Irish Spring shower can cleanse the sins of the fathers speaks more of emotional cowardice and mental dwarfism than anything else.
It's one thing to review a work of art on it's creative merits. But it's entirely another to make social-commentary in the derisive context of charity as absolution.
There isn't insight to be found in Grossman's review. But panic of the self-centered, rationalizing in the Colonial de-humanizing motive with it's prey, the dark continent. Nothing less than decadent posture.

This comes on the heels of Israeli air-war games over the Mediterranean which conventional thinking looks upon as a test run for play on Iranian Nuclear facilities and the impending Israel-Iran War.

Hamas and Hezbollah have been commonly described as Iranian surrogates. If that is correct then this urgency of Israeli deals with both groups should be seen as efforts and attempts to keep both Hamas and Hezbollah on the sidelines when Israel attacks Iran and the ensuing Israel-Iran War.

"Gone With the Wind", that blight upon the American cultural landscape has been resoundingly rejected by British Culture. For a brief spell this year while the Brits came to their senses, "Gone With the Wind" the musical had marginal run. Til the Brits recognized and realized that any pining for a way of life that built on hypocrisy and antagonisms as American Southern "gentility," regardless if it's banner proclaimed lineage to the Union Jack had no place in the milieu of humanity digitalized.

George F. Will the Norman Rockwell of Opinions and Barack Obama

At least the hacks on Republican, Right-Wing, Conservative talk radio are straight forward and out in the open with their ire, anguish and jealousy of Barack Obama. John McCain's wake on Fox News is real.

Then is George F. Will the Norman Rockwell of opinions. The Nationally Syndicated Columnist Will, resembles Rockwell solely in affecting an idealistic veneer as substance.

With his chisel and hammer aphorisms, one wonders what exactly doesn't George Will get about Obama's Candidacy for the U.S. Presidency?

Whether it's his criticisms of Obama's campaign procedural platform or it's the humorless and weird reluctance to acknowledge history and it's precedent. In George Will's world view Barack Obama is just another dusty profile in Presidential White Maleness.

Criminality and the Chicago Police Department: When the Cops are Corrupt

So the Windy City, the City of Big Shoulders, the City of Chicago has over the past five years doled out $155 million to victims of it's Police Department abuses, assaults, indiscretions and out right criminality.

Here is another fact. twenty-one of the twenty-five Commanders of it's Police Department have been replaced.

Then there is Jerry Finnegan, the deviant and corrupt leader of rouge cops in the Chicago Police Department's, Special Operations-SOS Drug Tactical Unit. Who plotted to have four of his compatriots assassinated because they had turned informants. Then he turned informant, when the criminality of the SOS- Special Operations came to light.

Then, Keith Herrera who revealed and exposed the activities of his compatriots in the SOS Unit and now wants criminality to be a cautionary tale to recruits of the Chicago Police.

Chicago's Mayor Daley says thousands of cops go about their duties daily, in a professional and law-abiding manner and the actions of a few shouldn't cast a pall over the city. Granted that thousands of cops pursue their duties professionally and within the law. Still the question is Chicago is Chicago and has been Chicago. It's one thing for it's marginalized and desperate citizenry to violate laws. But it's entirely another for it's Government in the specific form of Police, who having sworn to uphold law, to know law and to behave in a manner that denounces the end justifies the means expedience of policing---violate law.

When twenty-one of twenty-five commanders who are in the leadership. Who are the leadership are replaced, then regardless of the function of the rank and file, the idea and it's practice is policing in Chicago is inherently corrupt.
