David Scrafano, a child molester of Smith County, Virginia was sentenced to 2 years in jail, 10 years probation and a $5,000 fine, on 12/4/08.
What is unique and disturbing about the Scrafano case and indictment is David Scrafano was initially charged with 400 counts of child molestation!! But he was convicted on one count!!
So why would the Commonwealth Attorney for Smith County charge David Scrafano with 400 counts of child sex violations but convict him on only one?

This was NOT his first time offense. I know this for a FACT!!!!!!!! He needs to be killed for what he has done and the lives he has messed with. I hope someone else would step forward with more information and get this guy more time...he is just going to do it again and again....
Wow! This is both disturbing and sickening at the same time. I, as someone that knew this "less than a man" for years, find myself vomiting in my mouth at the fact that he didn't get put away for life. The justice system has failed, in my opinion, in his case. He will NEVER be rehabilitated or stop hurting ones around him. His personal issues are WAY too deep for him to overcome. The fact that he has a support system doesn't "fix" him or his sickness. Part of his support system is enabling him in very co-dependant way, to continue with the sickness. Prison is the only "safe" place for him to be to ensure that he never harms another child again!!!
