Nicholas Kristof, U.S. Foreign Policy and Consistently It Lets Black People Die
The globe trotting NY Times Nicholas Kristof recently tried to make the point in response to critics of the seeming inconsistency of U.S. Foreign Policy .That even if U.S. Foreign Policy is inconsistent as it intervenes in Libyan internal politics and Civil War while indifferent to slaughter in Darfur and the Ivory Coast. The seeming inconsistency (and we paraphrase) is correct, appropriate and fair because lives are being saved in Libya.

Black American life, it's experience is a result of the organic foundation of American Political-Economy. There has to be a serious and realistic diversification of Black American economic activity and productivity which in turn will support artistic expressions of the Black American experience that are not Tyler Perry one-dimensional, Spike Lee reaction, John Singleton illustration and all the in between presumptions which despite base origin all ply the Black American Experience as tragedy, tragicomedy, idealistic-determination and romantic-sentimental therapy.
The Oscar Awards cannot be separated from the White-Centrism of the larger American Political-Economy and it's idea of cinematic and movie excellence. White-Centric artistic ideas are exactly that, expressions of a subject of American Political-Economy and it the Black American Experience defaults in it's determination of it's cinematic and movie excellence to White-Centric ideas then any critique of the result is simply a childish, idealistic and obscure effort.

Coal Rich, Energy Resource Rich Wise County, Virginia and It's Decades Neglect Educating It's Youth
Imagine The Coal Rich, Energy Resource Rich Region of Wise County, Virginia unable to fund the basic education of it's youth considers as solution the consolidation of the five high schools serving it's area into two.
This is what decades of neglect and it's indifference of a type of politics that elevates idealistic exploitation of resources over the basic fundamental of what is the social-contract does. If a community in it's political practices is unable and unwilling to understand the simple formality of providing it's youth with an education that will permit basic access into it's society how then does it respond to what is the social-contract.

The Question: What is important money or happiness which is commonly presented as a rhetorical polemic implies a fundamental ignorance of what is money and a presumptuousness towards what is happiness.

Free Speech, Google, Carla Franklin and the Courts
If the issue is Free Speech, the recent ruling by a Federal Court Judge against Google in the case of the disparaging anonymous You Tube video comments against Cara Franklin when contrasted with the the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling in Citizens United, where the court ruled corporations have anonymous Free Speech--goes to show the extreme exertion to simply get it wrong.
The correct thing for the courts to establish and affirm is: the fundamental question of speech in the human condition and it's Political-Economy is speech is always human and singular. Thus singular anonymous speech, as a singular epithet hurled anonymously from a crowd is protected speech.
The courts idealistically answer the Free Speech question in the Google, Carla Franklin incident with the implicit abstraction that the right lies with to know and that quite frankly is an idealistic perversion.
