Barack Obama's Judgement and the Grievance Narrative of certain Miami Cubans

Some Miami Cubans and the broader Cuban-American community is carrying this grievance narrative of their U.S. citizenship a bit too far. There is this delusional notion that being Cuban emigre' in the U.S. automatically bestows validity, credibility and legitimacy to any kooky and selfish advocacy.

Because how should the 6/20/08; press conference spectacle by certain so-called relatives of Elian Gonzalez, the Cuban boy those very same Miami Cuban opportunist wanted to deprive him of his father be taken. With criticism and calling into question Barack Obama's judgement in it's capacity s candidate for the U.S. Presidency.

The delusional and arrogantly self-described relatives of Elian Gonzalez challenged Barack Obama's judgement because Obama has certain individuals as adviser's who played roles in ensuring that Elian Gonzalez was reunited with his father in Cuba after his mother kidnapped him. So viewing history through that narrow grievance narrative, those Miami Cubans felt they could stand on the construct, we are Miami Cubans and any and all specific and general policy positions and decisions pass the Cuban emigre' test!

Barack Obama is running for the Presidency of the United States and it takes a certain contempt and disdain to casually disregard the reality that a Presidential candidates judgement traverses a much wider and practical spectrum than the inflated, elitist, notions of unique grievance narrative certain members of the Cuban-American community seem to have.
