The Israeli Mind-Set, Bigotry and Palestinian Dress
Besides the logic of the Israeli and Palestinian conflict, one would think Israeli would be the last people on the globe to be obscenely bigoted.
Mickey Rosenfeld, a spokesperson for Israeli's Police defended the savage beating and brutal assault on a Palestinian sheep herder by Israeli settlers at the West Bank with the Palestinian was dressed like a westerner and not the "traditional" dress.
This attitude goes back to Golda Meir's (the first female Prime Minister of Israel) position that Palestinians are animals, implying in principle and deed no treatment is of limits.
The West Bank just as any inch of Palestinian soil is a constant flash point.
B'tselem a Israeli Human Rights Group in response to Palestinian complaints of Israeli settler brutality provided Palestinians with camcorders to record and document encounters with settlers. This latest instance of settler brutality and assault had four young males with their faces covered attacking the Palestinian. So in the acts defense, Mickey Rosenfeld the Police spokesperson proposed the ironic rationale that the Palestinian provoked the attack because he wore a baseball cap, pants and a shirt---and so he was savagely beaten.
The historical irony of this reveals the hubris of the Israeli mind-set. Nazi Germany with it's policy of extermination against the forebearers of Israel also used dress as reason.
It's one thing for a prejudiced settler grasping for any defense to support the obviousness of land grabbing to say that. But for a spokesperson for the Israeli Government to defend settler aggression with Nazi logic shows Fascism has many banners.

FEMA and $85 Million Worth of Indifference
Regardless of the excuses and spin, which there are more than enough to keep corporate media in business till the next Katrina like deluge.
What I want to know is how will the people of Louisiana respond?
Adding insult to injury FEMA distributed the $85 million worth of indifference to sixteen other states, claiming Louisiana didn't want the stuff. Bayou Mud must have blinded U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu and her Louisiana ilk from seeing the tent city of homeless Katrina survivors under New Orleans highways.

Surrogate Pregnancy and Marriage
This isn't a complicated issue for single Women, it's a dollar and cent one. Defining it as prostitution as it's critiqued, is for social-mechanics and confounded feminist. Prostitution as we know is very well an element in relatively most of human affairs.
Still there is an underside to the industrialization of surrogacy that is subversive and it's when married Women opt into it. Specifically, what is a marriage if the wife is renting out her womb, carrying an alien embryo for the specific purpose of money and the accompanying myriad emotions of pregnancy which has to introduce a discordant narrative into the marriage.
A 30 year old married with 2 kids, 6 and 4, Wisconsin Woman described her foray into surrogacy with,"what else am I going to do with my life that means so much". The disconnect in this attitude is ridiculously revealing! Why should carrying someone else's child transcend the totality of her family, her husband and kids? What sort of social realities are inducing or stimulating such down right antagonistic perspectives within a marriage?

Accountability, responsibility and the Conservative Shrill of Tough Crime
The issue of accountability and responsibility is the red flag waved before the bull of the populace on hot button issues forces for maintaining the status quo, that business as usual utilize in diverting, distracting the collective Democratic focus off the essential issue. That lack of Governmental responsibility which determines the order of life within the Political-Economy.
It should make a difference to those correctivist that emotionalism is substituted for informed reasoning.
It is high time a position is taken against that tendency, that insidious exercise of undermining the concept of justice and the legitimization of vigilantism and vindictivism. Justice isn't simply the eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth rejoinder that is the conservative shrill of tough on crime. Justice in a Democratic pluralistic society has to advance the Republicanism of it's nature, It has to recognize the humanness of it's condition.
Yes society can call in it's accounts but let us dispense with the mystification and demonization.

The Lobbyist Critique and the Voter
I mean think about it. The whole argument against lobbyist is built on the presumption of corruptive influence or a sort of nefarious quid pro quo! And it essentially undermines the premise of democracy in a Republic, where voters elect people due to confidence in their judgement. Because an elected official has to be trusted to govern and decline overtures of official has to be trusted to govern and decline overtures of a lobbyist quid pro quo.
What is lobbying? It is simply a presentation of a point of view based on a specific and narrow interest irrespective of means. There is nothing wrong with interest in the general or specific sense and it's defense. It is up to leadership and governing elements to determine what is strategically practical and conductive to the fundamental pursuit of the maximal realization of the human condition. It is up to the social-dynamic to hold government accountable.
The lobbyist critique is a reactionary form of policing that intrinsically accepts that the human condition is incapable of progressive judgement without coercion.

Gas Pricing and the Colonial paradigm
Every single corporate media opinion on the acceleration of gas pricing supports and defends it.
I find that strange as I said in the "Imperialism, the Outsourcing of Manufacturing and the Price of Gas", post. What is so unique about oil as a commodity that supposedly neutral sources should defend and apologize for the dynamics of it's pricing, unless there is collusion. unless there is geo-political reality for movement control in the U.S. Unless there is short term imperative towards exploiting restricted Alaskan oil and gas pricing is a manipulating element in the war for public opinion.
Imperialism in it's Colonial paradigm has long since determined that the American middle isn't necessary towards it's objective of capital acquisition and accumulation. Which is Imperialism only motive and in this regard America's mobility is relatively compromised.
The logic is simple if, the dominant labor in the U.S. is high low end servicing. Why should oil be diverted from China serving it's manufacturing function in the Colonial paradigm to an unproductive middle America.
In the Soviet Union it's citizens had to have internal Visa's to move around within their nation, Americas version is simple, If you can afford gas, you can move around, if not, reinvent the wheel.

Removing, Operating, Returning a Fetus to the Womb and The Potential for Womb Irrelevancy
As if one isn't strange enough, imagine a hundred times a year. Surgeons in the U.S. removing a fetus from the womb operating on it, then returning it to the womb to continue to term.
The McCartney's, a Houston, Texas couple and the birth of their baby Macee Hope on May 7, 2008; are now the latest face of this phenomenal Pediatric procedure.
At six months to term of Teri McCarney's pregnancy, a tumor was discovered which allowed to continue would have been terminal to the fetus. So her doctors decided upon the magical technique of removing the fetus from the womb, removing the tumor and returning the fetus to go to term. Macee Hope a girl was born ten weeks later.
This technique raises the potential for womb irrelevancy as the sole arbiter for the development of the human fetus.

Hillary Clinton's supporters and Barack Obama
When Hillary Clinton's supporters say they will vote for John McCain or not vote at all. One has to wonder what does voting in any election even mean to them? If it's not about an issue, if its not about the organized social-contract which is always about how the various social components resolve issues, then what is it about? It's one thing to have been an ardent and fervent Hillary supporter during the Democratic nomination process. It's quite understandable to be aghast at her loss. But this reactive antic to Obama, whom Hillary even now supports is simply infantile.
The Geraldine Ferraro tendency of Hillary's supporters is quite an insight into the human condition. If Gloria Steinem now says that the transcendent national question is sexism. Then where does that leave the Black Woman who not only deals with sexism but also racism. Or has Gloria Steinem in her undisciplined critique' glibly ignored, the whole group who are female non-white but also American.
This mantra like tantrum by Hillary Clinton supporters against Barack Obama's campaign despite politics as it's medium has it's origin in frustrations unrelated to politics.

Peter Beinart, Clinton Apologist: Wedge Issues and the Obama Candidacy
Beinart suggests that without the Clinton Presidency removing the wedge issues of Welfare, the Death Penalty and Affirmative Action off the Political table, the Obama Candidacy would have relatively been impossible.
I disagree. Granted that Welfare as an issue, the Death Penalty and Affirmative Action have been in one form or the other issues Republicans and reactionaries have exploited. The fact is just as any other facet in ideology-less politics the body politic would have wised up to the inherent manipulations of it's practitioners.
In non-ideology politics the operative is opportunity. In non-ideology politics one of the means of exploiting opportunity is a complicit media dumbing down the relative facts and as a practice it can only go but so far because at a certain point people will have to remove the blinders from their eyes and start reacting positively to their economic reality.
Wedge issues in American politics exist simply and solely because they present the path of least resistance to political office, because wedge issues are camouflage for that ineffable undercurrent of American Political-Economy, Race, injustice and the concurrent fear that historical injustice has wrought.
It isn't that Clintonism approach to wedge politics which by the way is a misnomer because all politics in one form or the other is wedge, banished those three symbols of American injustice from the landscape. The fact is the Global and National political dynamic is what is making the Obama Candidacy viable.
- On Welfare: How would Welfare as an issue fare against the present economic reality of those Reagan-Democrats who have been historically susceptible to it's plyings?
- On the Death Penalty: How will the Death Penalty exposed to serious National critique do in the face of the reality that a number of people sentenced to die have been released due to wrongful convictions.
- On Affirmative Action: Is America in the milieu of a type of radicalism which during the 1970's and 1980's was a blip on the Cold War radar, confined to pockets, but is now the International reality. Willing to reveal it's or the inherent Racism in Affirmative Action as a debate?

Jimmy Carter, Arab Governments and the Jewish Bomb
U.S. and Israeli fears has nothing to do with Arab Governments seizing upon Carters comments as justification for their purported strategy. The fear instead is Carters comments will destabilize Arab Governments all of whom in one form or the other contribute and do their share in maintaining the industrialized West interest. Arab Governments and the International community have long since known or suspected a Jewish Bomb existed, that Israel is nuclearized. The fear however is the Arab people who chafe under reactionary traditions will demand that their governments go nuclear, a status quo ante which will position Arab Governments at odds with their peoples wishes.
Islamic Militants will then have another political opportunity to broadly paint Arab Governments as lackeys which their militancy already sees them as.
The dance of pacification has always been a tenuous one and one has to be extraordinarily naive to actually think it's conventional tactic on display in Iraq by U.S. and it's shortcomings against cheap improvised explosive devices can stem or turn the tide of a reality that is perpetually tweaking facts on the ground and it's justification?
It was easier for Arab people to accept the suppositions of a Jewish Bomb, because the historical obligation to respond with the logic, what is good for the goose was in the abstract. Carter's comments has obliterated that sophistry.

The Freedmen and Native American Greed
Freedmen are those of African and Native American descent, a result of inter-marriage with runaway black slaves and in the case of the Cherokee Freedman, descendant of unions between Cherokee slave holders and their Black slaves.
The greed which in the beginning motivated individual Indians to receive cheap tomahawks, cheap trinkets, blankets and assorted baubles for entire swaths of North America at the expense of knowing that communal ownership of the land, disallowed unilateral transactions with White invader-settlers is again in evidence.
The Cherokee and Seminole tribes to name a couple have undertaken a systematic effort to deprive Freedmen of their Patrimony, which is just as methodical as the White invader-settlers efforts during early U.S. history land confistications.
Ever since native American tribes tasted the financial boon of running Casinos, there has been machinations upon gambits to deprive tribunal members of mixed ancestry their rightful share.
Greed and larceny played equally important roles in Native Americans losing a Continent to invading settlers. It is ironic that greed is once again revealing that certain tribes are just as unjust as those chain of events which led to the Trial of Tears, Wounded Knee, Tecumseh's Despair, Geronimo's Lament and all those other moments in Native American and U.S. history.

Lou Dobbs, The Independent Vote and the price of gas
The two party system, Democratic and Republican are not the fundamental problem. The fundamental issue is an Electorates inability to hold elected Politicians accountable.
Take for example the gas question: Why does the price of gas go up daily? The answer is simple. Gas station owners are profiteers, exploiting a situation. If a gas station owner, retailing gas when oil was $90 a barrel. Why should the owner mark it up when oil goes up to $130 when it's obvious that his retail stock or volume was purchased at a lesser rate.
So my question is: without the Electorate securing accountability from it's elected officials, whose logic then defines the facts, challenging not simplistic speculation but unbridled profiteering.
So what is the consequence of the independent vote as advocated by Lou Dobbs when the issue isn't a type of vote but principled accountability?

The Dream and Triumph, Louis Mulkey and Summerville High: Tell my wife " I Love You" (Video included)
The fire which destroyed a Charleston, South Carolina Furniture store claimed the life of a dreamer, but not the dream.
Louis Mulkey, 34 yrs. A White Charleston, South Carolina fire fighter was also a coach of the Summerville High School basketball program a majority Black team which had never won a State Championship. Mulkey had given his players the dream that in their Senior year, Summerville would claim it's first title.
Then that fateful 6/18/07; day and the fire which claimed Louis Mulkey's and the lives of eight other fire fighters. Mulkey's final words, " Tell my wife, I Love you".
Sports at all levels has stories and moments of accomplished dreams and heroic eternities, but what Louis Mulkey's players accomplished on the night of 2/29/08; has all the ingredients of an Urban Legend, with the caveat it happened, that it was true.
With 1.7 second left in the game and Summerville leading by two, 50-48. A Spartanburg player rebounded a careening free-throw and threw up a 65 footer prayer that swooshed a nightmare through the Mulkey dream of a championship. So was that it, an improbable finish to a sequence of events that was becoming unique by the moment?
South Carolina High School athletics doesn't use replays to decide questionable plays and the 65 footer shot which put Spartanburg over Summerville was questionable. Was it timely, before the game clock showed zeros and the referees officiating the game had reason to doubt that. After deliberating which was a life time of anguish for the Summerville players, their fans and Mulkey's wife Lauren Mulkey. The referee stepped on the court and officially declared that Spartanburg's shot was invalid, it was made after regulation and time expired.
So with that, the Mulkey, Summerville dream was now a reality! What started as one of the worst tragedies in American fire-fighter history had redemptively transformed into an improbable triumph 50-48 over Spartanburg! ESPN and other authorities reviewed the questionable shot and concluded that the referees did get it right.

Why Global warming means easy access to the 100 Billion tons of Arctic Oil
What is going on in closed conference rooms and whispered conversations in Gas intoxicated Limousines hurtling down asphalt arteries of China, S. Korea, India, Gr. Britain, Canada and the U.S. by oil operatives and Bureaucrats?
What does the speculated 100 Billion tons of Oil under the Global Warming induced melting Arctic have to do with the definitions and parameters of Global Warming?
The reality is all of the above. It barely made news when Russia planted it's flag on the Arctic Ocean's floor staking claim to the Arctics resource potential. The suspected 100 Billion tons of Arctic Oil and other minerals has if anything introduced a new metric into the Global Warming equation.
Global Warming, and the melting of Arctic ice isn't being seen as a liability by oil executives and governmental bureaucrats. Instead the melting Arctic ice is now seen as a practical ally in exploiting resources which without it would be prohibitively expensive. But the Global Warming debate for obvious reasons is at the expense of this fact.

Part II The Collaborator Felicia J Nu'Man
Nu'Man, as those of her ilk stranded in the abstractions of American Political-Economy with no where to go find recriminative solace with Cosbyesque rants and diatribic skews of organic social phenomena which when done by their aped status quo masters goes unchallenged but when done by the less fortunate the gall of critique is unleashed.
Nu'Man in her essay, wrote: " My job is not that off a social worker or a social scientist. I was hired to enforce the law as drafted. I have a duty to the citizens of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, including all the Black victims of the drug culture. Felicia Nu'Man is deceptive in her motive. Criminality and deviancy runs the gamut, so why is her focus on the drug culture?
White-collar crime is twice, thrice as destructive on society than the desperation of the drug culture, yet her feigned altruistic fastidiousness seems to ignore it.
With the zeal of the rote trained, Nu'Man declares as if epiphanously that she is not social scientist. What does she think is the determinative definition of which crimes focus should be on, isn't it Sociological? Law, which is essentially the political realities of an environment is intrinsic social science and it does not exist in a vacuum. So to callously deny it because it lays waste her worldview is just as farced as that tired ass, Standard Operating Procedure or I was just following orders, which is what her disingenuous, "I was hired to enforce the law as drafted', is.
Prosecutors wield enormous amount of authority. Their actions almost go unchallenged. Their unjust deeds as just ones are done in the name of the people. Yet the peoples will doesn't play as much a role in the practice of their duties as the utopic fancy of Law and Order propagandizes it. A society with an inordinate and excessive amount of judiciary and policing activity is inherently an unjust one.
Felicia J. Nu'Man as a Black female Prosecutor defending a Political-Economic reality which is at odds with a part of the economical motive of a significant amount of it's citizens is a collaborator.
