Hamas and John McCain, A"Swift boat" Politician

If John McCain is the patriot he claims and not an opportunist exploiting a nations sympathy for his Prisoner of War experience during the Vietnam War, then the nation must always come first and so far a number of telling comments and postures is exposing McCain as just another clay foot politician.

As a talking point for his Presidential campaign John McCain has latched onto the fact a Hamas operative stated an Obama Presidency will be favorable. McCain's position is , Hamas has endorsed Barack Obama and it's an Obama liability. The reality is McCain the patriot in ideal has violated that primary tenet of closing ranks against a common foe! If as is generally accepted that Hamas is an organization the U.S. Government has defined as terrorist and an enemy, counter U.S. interest. Then regardless of whether McCain's exploitation of the Hamas question came as a result of a response to a question or not--- McCain should have with patriotic fervor stated unequivocally that foreign agents and actors must stay out and be kept out of American Internal Politics and quotes from foreigners have no place in the debate. Yet in desperation and a pathetic one at that, McCain quickly seized on the Hamas question as it it was in fact a legitimate and valid political point against Barack Obama.

There is a pattern: Those who always beat their chest, proclaiming, The Red, White, and Blue, seem to be the ones who opportunistically compromise it's very core.

What was the legacy from the "Swift Boat" attack on John Kerry in 2003? The most pivotal and strangely enough ignored was John Kerry was attacked primarily on the grounds that his Valor awards and medals were contrived. The implicit premise in the swift boating of Kerry was the U.S. Navy was willing actor in the "fraudulent" Kerry medals. The swift boating of Kerry challenged the very code of conduct of the U.S. Navy, a patriotic institution and Republicans then as now with the McCain attack on Obama over Hamas have no qualms in betraying the Republic when it suits their narrow interest of pursuing the trappings of state power and prestige.

Where was McCain when Ronald Reagan made a back door deal with Iranian captors of American citizens, not to release the captives till his assumptions of the U.S. Presidency?

I guess perfecting the tonality of "My Friends".
