Philadelphia Police, Power and it Corrupts

On 5/5/08; like rabid dogs a dozen or more Philadelphia Police were caught on film by T.V. station's helicopter attacking 3 men. Kicking , stomping and just adding to the worlds chronicles another example of why Power corrupts. Whether it's the pre-historical raping and pillaging by members of a dominant group, through the terroristic activities of Colonial forces representing organized violence of various Colonial trading companies, through the unspeakable brutality of slavery in all it's forms, particularly it's practice in the Americas, to the dreaded night knocks on doors by various historical uniforms, Power without accountability corrupts.

Are we to forget that it was also Philadelphia with it's misnomer, "City of Brotherly Love", that it's Government saw fit to drop a bomb on an undesirable type of speech it it's midst during the middle 1980's---specifically 1985 and the Philadelphia Police bombing of the Black American group, Move.

If in theory no one is above the law, then no one is above the law--- Police caught on film acting like a badge makes their reason any more valid than any other reason should not be treated with administrative duty as the cops in question are, as cops always caught behaving like that are. But they should be subjected to what any individual caught kicking and stomping another human being would.

Apologist for cops and the usual Police Union talking head, with effrontery state with a straight face that the Philadelphia 3 (brutally beaten) were suspected of having been involved in a shooting, So?

If laws are supposed to stand independent of reason and rationale, then let the application reflect that, because in it's absence is the deconstruction of the insidious and ridiculous "Don't do as I do, but do as say"
---because the reality is every human activity has a reason yet the social contract of Political-Economy demands a subordination to accountability and Government in all it's practice, particularly where it meets the contradictions and antagonisms of the social contract. i.e Police Officers performing their duties must reflect and represent the aspirations of humanness and that was compromised in Philadelphia.
